Spending P25 Million for the love of cars? Who does that? People who can afford it obviously. Like the Salonga family of Malolos, Bulacan. And boy do they get the most of it through many family joyrides after two men in the household gladly restored some old wheels.
It does make you wonder. Why are some people so into antique cars as old as time itself? The attention? Maybe. But that's unlikely with this family. Investment perhaps. Or nostalgia - because bringing back good childhood or teenage memories always feels good. But here's something more obvious, this father and son duo enjoys tinkering. Any mechanic by heart would love to turn up the hood of a 1972 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupe and customize it to their specifications. Or play with an engine. You catch the drift.
