I opened SCI Coal. Served 7 years here. When I came here, (1993-2000) it was a tough stop because of the racist guards. It changed a little after the riot, but not for the better. I was on A, B, C, E and F and G block. Every time I got out of RHU, I was sent to a different block. I left in March of 2000 and I had a BU-#. It was a long journey but I survived. Today I’m 51 and living in MA and living for Jesus. God bless to all and stay out of jail.
I was in SCI Coal D Block. Eventually I earned a MA in Comm and BA In Psych and participated in the National Conference for Higher Education in Prison and met Jasiri X. I hope the work I put in on these streets helped open doors and opportunities for anyone still locked.
His reference to main line is because everyone goes threw the chow hall . It’s the center of activity . And where fights breakout if someone doesn’t like the way you look . Or perhaps the word got out about your changes . That’s also the best place to catch up on the rumors of the day . Some C Os will propagate those rumors . So like notorious said , you are always looking for danger . You learn to sleep with one eye open .
Ya , when you get back to the block , YARD maybe called . But when the weather isn’t fit , you’ll recreate on the block . But during rec time , you have the opportunity to get a shower or take what ever paperwork you want the C Os to process or clean your cell . But you only get a cirtain amount of time to get that done . When that time is expired , you will be told to lock up . And the C Os will do a body count . After that if your charges haven’t freaked your celly out to bad , you have time to rest . Ya , I know what he’s talking about . Camp hill is a classification prison . That place is not your final stop . You may move around quite a few times before settling into the prison you will do your time at . Um , if you have to do more than 4 years , the politics will change , and in which case that causes all kinds of stress . I was sentenced to 20 years . While I was in , the politics changed and the criminally insain were set loose in the general population . The security level of the prison went from a level 2 prison to a 4 ! Minimum to max . Just in case you didn’t know , level 5 is death row ! And the prison I did my time at had OLD SPARKY , the nick name for that chair . It was a three legged chair . AND YOU DONT WANT TO GO THERE . I have the feer of God in me now . 440volts . That will roast everything about you , to ash . And then there is the field of shame , nicknamed potter’s field . Not even you family gets your body .

Some young girl hit me on my bike last year and she dam near killed me. Totaled my bike put me in the hospital for almost a month. Broke my back blew out some discs in my back and she dragged me and my bike down the road. She was drunk no surprise there. I had to have my lower back fused together with pins plates screws disc spacers graphs and rods. I just got my low rider harley had it for 2 days and it was scrap metal. She went to jail then prison cause this wasn't her first accident being drunk. I hired a lawyer to represent me and make sure i get every penny that's coming to me and i want a million dollars but my lawyer says 2 million. My lawyer found a hidden insurance on her besides what she put down on paper and that's why my lawyer said 2 mill.
Sci coaltownship is just like SCI Mahanoy I was there from 2006 to 2010 they gave me a 2 to 4 on gun charges. I maxed out I did want to owe nothing my last 4 months they sent me to the half way house Kintock.
On a 3-4th when they say mandatory minimum one year in state prison does your county time run w that or na on a 1-2 and how long will u be in for on a 1-2 in pa?

A 1-2 yes you will go to state prison for. The maximum county sentence in PA is like he’s saying, minus one day. So an 11 1/2 to 23 month and 29 day sentence is the maximum you can be given in a county jail. Once your maximum goes up by 1 day, to a 2 year, then it’s a state prison sentence. The sentence directly past the 11 1/2 to 23 month, is a 1-2 year sentence. Decides whether you’re sitting in the county, or taking the ride up The Hill.
@jasoneli3779 it's any sentence with a max of 2 years or more. There are some cases where the judge can order the inmate to stay in the county but that doesn't happen too often.
Sci Coal Township Was Super Corny , I was There During Covid And Beat My Violations . They Caught me on the Street with 7500 on me . took me 2 coal township asap , they had to count out my money in the Main Lobby lol it took they dumb ass forever
PA might as well have razor wire around the whole state. I swear there is more state prisons than county jails. I did a 2 flat in sci camp hill. Couldn’t do a tail this time
