During a weeklong stretch in mid-April, former President Donald Trump came to the Lehigh Valley two days before his criminal trial began while President Joe Biden made three stops in Pennsylvania, including in Philadelphia.
In the latest episode of Battleground Politics, Lauren Mayk spoke with Pennsylvania voters as the candidates came to town. They spoke about abortion, the economy, immigration, Trump’s criminal trial, the Israel-Hamas War and who they plan to vote for. Lauren also spoke with Villanova University political science professor David Barrett about the presidential race and visits in the swing state.

Why is abortion ahead of inflation, border, international wars, rampant crime issues? How many woman actually get abortion in their life as opposed to the population of people suffering from crime and inflation? Trump is saying its a state issue. Its not a full out ban.

It is just sad to see that so many people don't understand how the government works. Or understand capitalism and what the difference is on how their lives are affected by each of those. It seems the lovely elder black ladies are the most informed in these interviews. And finally, why do Americans think we can control other countries' actions. Foreign relations is challenging and very complicated. I understand that and even though the situation is devastating in many ways, I cannot in good conscience criticize Biden.
