The show is blatantly Hinduphobic!! It is a propaganda series where Muslims yet again have been shown as victims and innocent people and Hindus are shown as main culprits and communal people. Images of Hindu gods and goddesses are shown in most of the scenes where crimes or wrongdoings happen, including prison walls. Epicenter of crime in the plot happens to be Chitrakoot (for obvious reasons!!) considered to be holy place associated with Shri Ram! Mob lynching by Hindu groups for false alarm of beef is a must add !! All in all a Hinduphobic series full of communal propaganda!! Please give negative review for this n google let’s expose this#boycottpaatallok
@@youisstupid2586 kya baat kahi hai dost! We kept guessing in that otherwise dull movie just because he set up a tone of his character that couldn't have been anticipated!
binge watched it in the night, this show is pure class, great great show. Will show you two sides of our country, one side is INDIA and the other side BHARAT, means urban india and rural india
I think it's between power and non power people ... patallok means jo just creepy insects h jinhe swarglok wale use kerte h apne kam.ke liye and marte bhi apne kam ke liye h .. patalok people are just for use .. jese kam khatm wase unka role khtm
Dolly's character is underrated yet impactful. The makers of Pataal Lok addressed the taboo topic of anxiety through her character. The sub-plot also showcases how she tried to overcome her anxiety by bonding with a dog.
Best thriller series All characters looks real with fantastic performance, Specially Hathi Ram Chaudhary and trivedi Story behind the every criminal 's first crime is well written and realistic. Only One question remains unanswered is , how Masterji look?
@@shreyamathur824 if u call it art u need a doctor... Its pushing agenda through a series.. Watch it and you can easily sense the Liberal agenda. Becoming so predictible now. Upper cast Hindu the ultimate villain and as usual Muslims innocent. Yawn. Idol praying bigoted cops in station, muslim cop the most decent one, conspiring hindu cop having pooja at home. Here's how a scene from the movie goes - "Women vomits after watching Muslim man open tiffin in the train. The Muslim man offers water, which she rejects rudely and then the muslim man looks outside to see Ram Lalla hum ayenge mandir wahin banayenge chanting mob on railway station" The same story every single time, These lot make money demonising hindus.
You know I have to thank this channel and tried and refused productions for a proper introduction to Indian Cinema. 3 years and I'm still having raging good time.
OTTs have eclipsed Bollywood..they have left behind bollywood in quality by leaps and bounds....bollywood is now scared of OTT as it is killing mediocricity and nepotism which made bollywood rotten place which struggled to produce quality, and made quality people to struggle there. Today audience of OTT and webseries are much much higher than cinema hall goers...In my village people have watched Pataal lok, but not the last movie of SRK or Salman Khan! This speaks volume where the future stays...Bollywood awards shows should include OTTs when they announce best actors...and I bet that not a single award would go to bollywwood there after...Just like the performance of Jaideep Ahlawat makes him deserving for all awards of 2020 or Manoj Bajpai's performance in Family Man made him deserving for all awards in 2019.
The fact that doggos got their deserved screen time makes the show amazing in itself. All the other actors were just pawns, lol. PS. So happy for Jaideep to have chosen this role and Anushka/Karunesh for producing this mindblowing piece of content
@@jaishreeraavan5080 Dude Sacred Games season 1 was nominated for Best Drama series at Emmys. It's by far the best TV to come out of India. How can you compare Mirzapur with that?? Mirzapur is just violence and Cuss words with no substance.
@@subhxsish i dont know what's our obsession with emmys and oscars bhai. I mean why do we seek their stamp of appreciation or acceptance. If other shows were not nominated for the awards in US or UK that doesnt make them crap. I too liked sacred games but in my opinion mirzapur is far far better and Patal Lok is right up there. Me being from Haryana can easily tell you that Jaideep Ahlawat has nailed the accent, dialect and the mannerisms of a Delhi police officer. Of course him being a Jaat from Rohtak helps.
@@jaishreeraavan5080 Mirzapur is kinda like a forced use of freedom of cussing, so i Sacred Games which takes away from the authenticity of the show, But paatal lok manages to keep the balance
So happy to hear a good review! I guess Amazon is really setting the bar for Indian originals....while Netflix seems to be missing the mark more often than not
The only weak link in this series is the casting of Gul Panag. She is too 'sophisticated' to get into skin of middle class housewife character that she is made to play.
Just completed it... and its one of the best Indian series produced. Work of art! Tip : You can know the series/movie is good if you remember the charcters by there names in the series. Charcters must be well written and layered. For ex : sholay, gangs of wasseypur
There is a little scene on episode 2 where female cop beat a girl to get the truth out and berate her calling Nepali whore. Being a Nepali It made me livid when I watched that scene. It is an outright act of discrimination! It is in India where ubiquitous brothels exists whose system is deeply ruined by forlorn iniquity and movie itself is circulating in that reality and they have audacity put a scene like that! Just because we let it go most of the time doesn't mean that we don't mind! It felt like a slap on the face, this is wicked and discriminatory. They should remove that scene ASAP. I feel like these movie makers are capitalist hypocrites and mafias😡
If you think about it carefully you would realise that, that is exactly why the scene is there. To make everyone feel revulsive about it. Those who didn't even bother till now and shrugged it off casually, are now bound to think about it. Thanks to this scene you are creating a dialogue about it. Putting your voice here. And hopefully will be heard. All because of this scene. In fact that is the job of a storyteller. Not only to create narratives about society but also to put forward the evils so that collectively everyone can realise and talk about it. Don't you think so?
Exactly where is the censor board now? wherein even the most important scenes are removed from movies in the name of censorship. How was this particular dialogue go theough. There people of this community working hard to defy exactly this particular stereotype and then comes such series casually using it as a slang. Not acceptable at all
@@swetasharma3144 please go watch the show. There is nothing casual about that dialogue. I am sure you will realise the depth of the scene once you watch the show. If you decide to watch it objectively of course then
Imtiaz Uddin Already watched it and an entire community is not mad to to question the very same thing . Moreover it's very easy to speak about it as if it does not make much of a rucuss but guess what it does impressionable youth see such content and hence measure every nepali girl with the same yardstick so this is absolutely bogus of them to defend that scene in anyway. You are not in that place you don't wanna be nor do you wanna think what it would be like to be in that place.
@@swetasharma3144 then you must be aware of the fact that there are few prominent scenes in the show which should be "defaming" Muslims in India, by your logic? I wonder will you hold those scenes with same lens or not?
I live in US and from TN. I believed only Tamil film makers can do realistic, raw and intense movies like Visaranai. But this series has changed my belief and it’s really good. I understand how religion and politics intermingled in the North Indian states
Loved the way they connect the dog to the plot at the end. Initially I was wondering about those moments with the dogs and realized it at the end. Hats off to the makers
Patal lok - sacred games of Amazon prime Same hindu muslim, dalit - upper class agenda, fascist govt -honest journalism, toxic nationalism, peaceful liberals. Bring something new 😂😂
To be honest the best series of India, cinematography, casting, direction everything is so good about the series , 13th watch this series again, I feel so proud how good the Indian creative people have progressed. The best is the way how realistic it is
@Alok Mallik boss I don't know what u mean by strawberry wali duniya but that's sure they the mindset that u people are carrying will be detrimental in itself which will jeopardize ur own so called free mindset. Anyway it was my point of view. Just happened to be at wrong set of people.
Dear Anupama, I was wondering if you got a chance to see “ The Half of It” on Netflix. I found the movie very refreshing, aching and satisfying, all the same time. Would love to hear your opinion on it.
@@adityamore9435 Nope. Not at all. Just because the movie looks artsy and has a gay character, doesn't mean its deep. The guy was incredibly boring. The main character took a lifetime to understand that she is gay !
A gem in this genre This series should go further and stream on HBO and other global platforms Top notch writing and screenplay from the think tank team.. No single dull moment anywhere... Though too many sub plots and metaphors were handled nothing derails the main plot at any point of time... Which is a phenomenal feat when it comes to Indian writers... Casting is too good to pick who has done more justice to his/her role... Every main lead that comes leaves a staggering impact on the screen... Worth watching totally Kudos to the direction team and Anushka sharma for giving a hand for these stuffs to take life....
@@YashChaphekar07 i agree...it really feels forced and cringey in a lot of the shows. Idk how that attracts more folks...but then theres no accounting for taste 🤷♀️😅
IMO morality is same as humanity and hence independent of gender. I think the point that the Anupama is making that since the males in the show are show are devoid of any humanity hence the only humanity or morality that one sees in the show is due to women and children in it.
I knew from the beginning. If it’s (MeToo) Tejpal’s story,it’s going to be liked by her. It’s people like Anupama, belonging to gang of Liberals and pseudo-seculars,who look for Hindu-Muslim Angle in everything and always show their selective outrage, and never had or will have to utter a word against Jihadis, because it won’t be good for secular fabric of the country. These scoundrels are the biggest Bigots in India. They are a part of Communist-Jihadi Nexus.
Now this is why OTTs are game changers. A show like this would have never seen the daylight in the traditional set up. Watched this Series and enjoyed every bit of it. However this is pretty heavy series and hence cannot be binged. You have to take breaks in between to complete it. Many things could have been easily cut for a smoother experience. Bt the wait till last episode is worth everything.
Why is it called Paatal Lok and not Paataal Lok? Numerology? And why does Numerology affect only English spellings and not spellings in languages like Hindi and Tamil?
Can anyone explain why Hathi Ram goes to death record keeping office where he gets in trouble? What part of investigation led him to visit the death record keeping office?
The local chitrakoot journalist gives a lead to hathi ram that jwala gujjar is contesting elections opposite bajpayee and he can't believe that dullalia gujjar would allow this to happen. Hathi ram goes to his room and reminisces throughout his investigation people keep mentioning him and want to meet him but never succeed so he has a light bulb moment where he thinks might be dullalia gujjar is dead and that is the reason why gwala gujjar is contesting against bajpayee, so he goes to check the death records to be sure about this.
After his conversation with Amitosh, the local reporter. He tells Hathi Ram that Master Ji would never allow his brother to contest in elections, that too against Bajpayee. So Hathi ram suspects something might have happened, and he connects it with Thyagi continuously trying to get in touch with Master Ji before the assassination. So he reaches the conclusion that Master Ji might have been dead.
Superbly made mini series. The story, acting and the script are of the highest standard. Anuksha Sharma’s choice of topics for the movies she chose to be a producer are commendable. Please continue supporting such movies.
You reviewed the series really well. No wonder the views are as low as possible. Explains audience count seeking quality over quantity. Excellent job. Please keep it up!
When will makers create some balance between different communities. Looking at the series feels like it’s just one community who is the oppressor and the other is just a victim??? Although history is totally opposite. We can clearly see how mouthwatering this was for Anupama and Lefties like her .... This is more divisive than anything..... They want Muslims to feel 2nd class citizens even if there is nothing of that sort that’s how they remain relevant.....
Right wing in India just keeps barking about all the good films and TV shows, if you're so offended by it why don't they make good content on their own and show the so called truth? Ask Vivek agnihotri to make a show as good as sacred games and pataal lok, tell him to spend less time on Twitter and write a decent script.
Gagan Gags No doubt the content is great I loved the series .... point is right wing does not exist in India so currently the left has taken all the responsibility towards propaganda and also some good content....
right eing does not exist..what are you getting at..btw what does a second class citizen mean according to you.. And if your talking about balance you will see many more Indian movies only portraying Muslims as terrorists, dons, some criminals etc(so much for balance)..then there will be one muslim cop(a subsidiary character) who will be portrayed as the model indian muslim(which again is set by the majority) rather than issues facing Muslims.. If you want a balanced movie trying to portray a imbalanced world then perhaps its better you search elsewhere..These are the harsh realities.. And its funny that you will accept every other social issue highlighted in the film but when it comes to Muslims then you go into denial mode..and honestly read the last paragraph again, just to understand that perhaps you might actually have alot of stereotypes, thats why a person is accepting everyother issue in the series except this
a k that’s the problem of presumption, and straw man . balance does not mean denial , it means reality of all sides or nuances which I guess does not matter to you and the makers ....I am an Atheist all religions are BS for me. I assume you may have some knowledge about Islam : in that light imagine any maker in India showing Mohammad’s life , his 13 wife’s , slaves , child bride etc , hadiths and Islamic scriptures that are filled with hate , violence , misogyny you will hear crickets 🦗..... there are harrowing stories but I guess it does not matter telling you...also the makers feel scared that a , “2nd class citizen” may come and blow up” remember Charlie Hebdo ??? Or may be in your balanced world terrorism never happened ......
If you like this series then please watch Pari movie produced and acted by Anyshka sharma. Also the director is same. Its really thrilling horror movie. ❤️
Well Crafted and very intriguing web series BUT now the time has come that we should focus on the positiveness in our country that we already have. Majority of us live in harmony and we desperately need some web-series which portrays another aspect of the very true picture of our loving country. We have had enough web series like - Paatal Lok, Asur, Mirzapur, Sacred Games etc. etc. Now, I am waiting that any Director/Producer would come up with the web series that is highly positive in nature and which shows the beauty of the different religions and their harmonious environment that binds us all.
Chitrakoot dialect misses the mark in otherwise Fantastic series. Better than Sacred Games & Mirzapur, almost equal to Delhi Crime. Having relatives in Chitrakoot - the dialect is wrong in this series - moda/ modi is never used there. Its more closer to Awadhi than Bundelkhandi - closer to Banda/ Prayagraj than Bundelkhandi of gwalior/ Bhind/ Murena. Panchayat's dialect is almost as close to Purvanchal it depicted. Otherwise a great Series with fav actors.
She's given so many details, so many visuals are key moments throughout the movie. (Spoiler Ahead). The scene where Sanjeev Mehra is kissing Sara is not something I would like to see in the trailer.
Why are good stories engulfed in such gory visuals? I am not a fan of this brand of storytelling. There is too much filth to actually enjoy watching the show.
बुरा ना देखो , बुरा ना बोलो, बुरा ना सुनो । This should be the review of this show. This show is made with such negativity , that u will find no character with CHARACTER.
Why do we allow so much of voilence to stream in every channel, every series and almost all movies. And the scariest part is all such series full of gory voilence and sex get the best rating. This is the new normal now? I shudder to think what will be life like in 2040 when these teens who are binge watching such things and on top of that porn which I hear is rampant everywhere.
This, is the real world that we live in. We can choose to push it all under our carpets and shut our eyes, but that does not mean it's not happening! The youth today is a lot more intelligent than the generations gone, they choose to keep their eyes open to everything; For, the path to liberation starts from an enquiry. Almost, always.
Which is why we don't let kids watch adult movies. Plain and simple. If you allow your kid to watch mature shows, that's on you. Some stories are just dark in nature and trying to be realistic. If you want to watch something happy go watch a Disney movie
Little we know that’s these lok exist around us and when we can get entangled in them one never know. It also makes us realize that our feelings, beliefs and political inclination is all a pawn in the hands of media, politicians and the one in swarg lok
