@@gachalifetoonstudios1377 I agree but after sonic mania came out the sonic franchise took a bad turn because of sonic forces, sonic colors ultimate Nintendo switch disaster, sonic origins being overpriced.

The trailer could have even been a complete pac-land remake (hopefully no more springboards)

@@JoseAyalaVelez Bandai Namco did about 5 or 4 years ago, and the court dismissed it, which led to AtGames keeping the rights of Ms. Pac. Since she was created by GCC and so was Jr. Pac, AtGames might have purchased his rights too some time after 2020 since he was in Minecraft, but this game changes hin to Pac-Boy.

I can see it now: * Pac-Man World HD Trilogy releases featuring Maze Madness * Pac-Man World 4 announced after the success of the HD Trilogy * Pac-Man World 4 comes out, everyone loves it * Devs get bought out by Activision or EA * Activision/EA puts team to work making more COD games * Dev studio shuts down * Meanwhile Pac-Man crawls back into the land of constant bi-yearly re-releases

At least Pac-in-time is included in the collection, it’s the only console pac man platforming game present (pac land doesn’t rly count)

Pacman Arrangement's latest appearance was Namcomuseum on gcn/ps2/xbox iirc. It's been so long, glad to have that game back!

Let's also recognize the masterpiece that is the Pac-Man Arrangement soundtrack. I consider it the 2nd best Pac-Man maze game, only behind Pac & Pal

We got the OG Pac-Man Arrangement, so there's that at least.

It's not licensing issues, it's with royalties. Namco doesn't want to hand out free money to AtGames. Namco fully owns Ms Pac-Man, they just don't use her because they hate AtGames.

Namco almost never use it in compilations because it's not really "official". It was developed by the US company Midway.

@@cardsharpHS It's not just that. It's also the fact that they'd have to pay royalties to AtGames for every copy sold. In Museum+, they even cut out the Ms. Pac-Man character from the games she appeared in, replacing her with this new "Pac-Mom" character... (who is basically just Ms. Pac-Man but with a different outfit.)

Mostly due to legal BS. Basically, Ms Pac-Man is own by At-Games who bought the rights off of the original creators, and Namco had to remove her from some of the games in this collection and replace her with Pac-Mom

They don't have the rights to the Ms. Pac-Man, Plus, or Jr, and the World trilogy is a completely different beast and they obviously wouldn't release those with this collection. Jr. Pac-Man isn't anything too special anyway so it's not a big loss

It's a crappy situation for sure, and I hope @ATGames goes bankrupt at some point from all the scummy items they have released onto unknowing consumers over the years.

If they do that, at least put better music in Pac Man World 3. The first two games got me all hyped up and ready to play, Pac-Man World 3? The music feels like it doesn't catch the ear as much. Sometimes there's no music at all

I literally bought this compilation hoping it would be there. Then I was disappointed that it wasn't.

Ah, a gamer of culture. The PS2 Namco Museum with the Arrangement titles was pretty decent.

I would've liked to see Pac-Man 2 in this collection as well, especially as it's related to Pac-in-Time on account of having the same villain. However, Pac-Man 2 features Ms. Pac-Man, Jr. Pac-Man/Pac-Jr. and Pac-Baby as major characters (each with a full profile in the game's intro and several sprites in cutscenes) and all three characters have now been renamed and redesigned, possibly owing to the ongoing dispute regarding ownership of Ms. Pac-Man. Pac-Man 2 cannot legally be re-released in any capacity without Bandai Namco paying royalties, purchasing the rights to the characters or altering the Pac family's names and appearances in-game like they did with Pac-Land, Pac-in-Time and Pac-Attack. It seems strange that they went to the trouble of changing those three characters in those three other games, but they didn't seem willing to do the same in Pac-Man 2, but then again, it would've probably been somewhat awkward and brain-racking trying to write new profiles for them on top of changing all of their sprites.

And they can finally stop bashing the game solely because of the smash stage
