Well that was a great beginning to a super town. There is a unique reward walking down lanes and back streets. A lot of these homes look beautiful with greenery to greet you at their door. You can see the pride of the town on how well the streets and homes look. This is why I'm so jealous of you Riccardo and as always impressive visual quality of the vlog. And thank you Riccardo for taking us inside so many beautiful structures. You are performing a great service to your subscribers 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Dear Lawson, happy to see you again! And Happy to read such words and to know they can be appreciated: sometimes I even wonder if people can be interested in these towns compared to Venice, Florence and all... but always glad you are! Loved Pacentro... love Abruzzo very much and I'll film more there, trying to make justice to these unknown towns which are often "dying"... as people leave and leave more and mroe from there... wish you a nice Sunday Lawson
It’s been quite awhile since I’ve been there but my dad and his family are from Pacentro. With this incredibly filmed and detailed walking tour, you have managed to capture not only the sheer beauty of my family’s hometown but it’s rich history as well! It makes me all the more proud of my Abruzzese heritage. Thank you! 👏🏻👍🏻🇮🇹
Hi Liligal, glad you enjoyed it and glad it could bring some pleasure and some interesting corners of that beautiful town. LOVE Abruzzo, as you can see, filmed a lot there, and Pacentro was truly an experience to be had... Will post some more about this stunning region for sure
@@StillWanderer Yes, I have watched some of the other videos that you made in Abruzzo and I have loved them too. I only wish the town of my maternal grandparents had been included. The town of Villetta, also in Abruzzo, is another picturesque town with a beautiful lake, beach and campgrounds for exploring the National Park of Abruzzo, which can be easily accessed from Villetta. Villetta’s sister town Barrea, just on the opposite side of the lake, is also worth visiting. Thanks again for your beautiful videos. I can’t wait to see more!
@@Liligal1 ciao Liligal! Ahhhh villetta Barrea, I know the town! It's on the to do list so .. I'll go there eventually once again. I've been once many years ago .. Abruzzo has a lot to offer, and i think I've been the first channel to explore it so thoroughly. But I don't plan to quit so...) I still need to edit a town I've been, Navelli... Was there months ago ..maybe I'll make it this month and finish editing it. A big ciao for now and will upload some Abruzzo soon
@@StillWanderer Wow, that’s wonderful! I hope you do get a chance to go back to Villetta sometime and do some filming there. Have you ever been to San Eufemia or Palena? My paternal grandmother and great-grandmother are from those Abruzzese towns respectively.
@@Liligal1 Ciao Liligal, never been to San Eufemia (I know it though!) and to Palena (didn't know it!). San Eufemia was on my to-do-list already but will try to put Palena too. They look stunning indeed !!
@@sharonlouisedoud9769 The clear ringing of bells always resonates with kind hearts. But it is even more joyful to hear how little children sing "Ave Maria". ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2D2HQcDabgY.html
Abruzzo is stunningly beautiful . A wonderful walk of this calm town is amazing . A great opportunity to witness the mesmerising beauty of nature as well as the houses and streets . Thanks for sharing and best wishes for the week ahead . Castle Caldora and view from above was wonderful. Enjoying everything whole heartedly.
Agreed dear Rajyashree and happy to see you again) Abruzzo has become one of my favourite ever region I must say.... for good reasons. I knew little about this region before but... more and more I discover and more and more I love it. There's some atypical charm in these villages, so different from the others in many ways... Glad you enjoyed it and also the others dear Raj, and wish you a nice week ahead!
This is one of the most beautiful towns you have filmed. The ringing of the bells, the beautiful architecture, (the little dog at the castle) the art at every turn. It is all truly stunning. Will you be returning to some of the places you visited 2 or 3 years ago during the pandemic? Thank you so much for sharing.
Ciao again Deana, remember very well Pacentro and the day... I agree that it was one and still is one of the best walk I've done.. I remember everything about it. And that dog was so cute. I had a nice chat with the owner... Good memories. I wish I could go back now... maybe I make it
Dear friend !! The houses of Pacentro seen from the sky are very beautiful .♥️🔔🏡 I like your gentle hands . The dog looks happy 🐕""" It has become cold , please stay warm. Big thanks from Japan🌸
Arigato my Dear Mare! Loved Pacentro too... love all Abruzzo, by far one of my favourite ever regions I visited until now I must say. That dog, "Luna", was SO cute... indeed... getting colder and colder and raining too.. but maybe in December I'll have the chance to see more around here. Ciao to Japan dear Mare, and wish you a nice Sunday
Such a beautiful and calm city..lovely houses and lots of greenery...as always loved watching the drone intro..must say that the city has a cinematic surroundings..thanks for sharing..have a happy sunday my friend !! 💕
Glad you enjoyed it Dear Sudip! Agreed with you 100%, loving Abruzzo myself more and more and more... as you can see it's been a few months I've been going there now. Thank you so much, apologize for writing today // But wish you a happy week my dear Sudip
Thanks, you too Dear Shaimaa!! Always happy to see you, and more than happy to know you enjoyed also this new Abruzzo town. Wish you a nice Sunday my friend!
Another great video. I must say that the movements of the camera is reaching the master level. The tour to the castle was a must and I am grateful for it. Really enjoyable. The city seems to be solid and nice. I just miss a view where the life in the city is, I mean : where are the shops, the markets and the life in the city. Beautiful city with equally beautiful panoramas. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it Dear Ivan. I'm being more and more in love with Abruzzo I must say... the towns there are just stunning. Indeed.. even though it was a Sunday not many people... but so many festivals there, I should go when they do one of them. I'll show more in Abruzzo in the future,I am trying to visit it whenever I can. Wish you a nice Sunday my dear friend
Glad you enjoyed it Dear Ioana! Loved Pacentro and I must say I'm in total love with Abruzzo ... a region I knew little about... but it has always stunned me until now. I'll film some more there, maybe to Sulmona even... wish you a nice Sunday
Thank you, Riccardo for sharing this beautiful preserved town. Again, so quiet. The castle is well preserved too. Those views from the top and the bells ringing.....aaahhh. Unexpected painting/art? Isn't Italy full of them, you turn a corner, and there is art😊 Wonderful video, per sempre 👏
Glad you enjoyed it Dear Geraldine and happy to see you again) You're right... I didn't know how to write about that painting... unexpected for me when I walked, but surely as you say it's quite true! Loved Pacentro, love Abruzzo very very much. Maybe these towns reflect more than others my character I suppose... for some reasons I love them quite a lot. More will follow, more to discover. Grazie come sempre!
@@StillWanderer I hope one day can visit this region. Btw, have just connected with una brava ragazza who lives in Abruzzo through italki. Am very happy 😊
Thank you so much Clara. I try to show (it's more than 3 years by now!) the most "unusual" and "forgotten" towns of Italy here - showing that hidden gems and beauties are where people and tourists usually don't go. Glad you enjoyed Pacentro - Abruzzo as a region is absolutely stunning
Dear Riccardo, I greatly enjoyed the tour of the Castle. It was quite interesting to see the display of the shields on the walls in the hall. I was wondering if they represent the coat of arms of prominent families? The view from the tower was quite breath-taking and the ringing of the bells added to the ambience of that moment. Pacentro is a beautiful town indeed with many picturesque scenes. The dog Luna is so adorable and seems very friendly towards visitors. Thanks for this tour to a truly remarkable place. Grateful for these beautiful small towns, even though I may not be there in person physically to fully appreciate it, that I can enjoy them from my home thanks to your wonderful videos which always put a smile on my face!
Dear Lang, thank you so much as always, and glad you liked also Pacentro: agreed on everything, also about Luna being so kind) I had a small chat with the owner there (she's the curator of the castle) and she told me she's truly the mascot of the castle and greets every visitor like that. Loving Abruzzo very much, a region I rarely visited before, but in which I'm finding myself more and more into it lately. More will follow for sure. Thank you as always Lang and to soon!
Wow, another great video Riccardo. Those inner courtyards (for lack of a better word) are stunning, and the views... my God... no country is perfect, but I’ll be damned if Italy doesn’t come mighty close!
Dear Hugo, nice to see you again and glad you enjoyed also Pacentro, and thank you for your words as always. There's a lot yet to see... some towns are truly "unknown" even to us... even if deserted, even if they're somehow "dying"... I'll try to make a little justice more to the "unknown" towns by filming them... they deserve it I think. I wish you a nice Sunday my friend
Riccardo, we enjoyed this film much more than expected from the intro (to be honest). One minor critical point is that that view with the bells from 44:40 onwards...it's so beautiful, it should have been at the beginning, and would have captured a million viewers. It's like the Cinemascope opening of a great and classic movie (sorry if that sounds a bit much, but it's really what we said to each other when watching).
Good point Guys, and thank you as always... I agree with you about the bells actually. I even considered actually "cutting" that long part thinking it wouldn't be so intresting?? Instead... so SO glad I left it as it was, it truly is something peculiar and so charming. There's always something mystical about Abruzzo towns which I find actually only here. I don't know exactly... but they are somehow "different" in their soul. Didn't know the region much, even though I live nearby... but I'll continue exploring it much further and deep into other tiny towns as well. Always glad for your words and Support my friends. Wish you a nice week ahead
Stupenda Pacentro come tutto l'Abruzzo devo dire. Ti auguro buona domenica
Prezada Viajante, Adorei o vídeo, principalmente as cenas do centro histórico.
A caminhada começa perto da Praça Umberto I!
Bellissimo paese bellissimo video ...
Grazie mille Luigi, davvero stupendo Pacentro.
Another 👍of Italy 🇮🇹 as well as the drone view at the beginning remember when you take your drone to another country follow the rules on where you can fly from or otherwise police 👮♀️ will say to you by by drone. My Christmas 🎄 present !!! after the police 👮♀️ takes it. 👍 walk and the view to. Get use to the 🔔 if you buy a home in 🇮🇹 even though the dogs was trying to bark louder at time 40:58. Plus then it reminded me of Kelly’s Hero’s WW2 movie . Do you use a map on your cell?? For the streets?? 🔔the Bells 🔔 👍🇮🇹📸
Ciao Bruce, oh no don't worry , I am a full licensed drone operator (with license to fly in critical and non-critical operations) since 2017, I in fact always check beforehand... not possible for instance in Rome and in bigger cities, but love drones! Yup I use a map, but many times it's useless as the little streets aren't visible there... it's so narrow that sometimes I just wander about actually. But it's always nice to discover this way the tiny towns. Glad you liked the bells... I couldn't stop there. Wish you a nice Sunday Bruce
Didn't know that Silvano, thanks! Did read about Madonna but not about Mike Pompeo. Who knows if he may watch this video one day while finding about his ancestors )
@@StillWanderer Oh, ok. First I thought you were from Pacentro. Then I thought you were some American tourist. Finally, I heard you saying “giorno” and I realized you were Italian.

I've been wanting to ask you this question for awhile....If you had to pick one of the towns you have visited in the past couple of years, which town would you choose to live in? Why?
That's a question so tough to answer AC... Maybe I would make a top 10 perhaps but it's difficult... I was seriously in love with a town .... Fara in Sabina, don't ask me why though as it's tough!. It's in the channel, walked there long ago. As much as there are amazingly beautiful towns like in the Amalfi coast and all... I found myself so in love there for some reason. But there are several...great question.. I'll think about it in the future
@@StillWanderer I just walked with you through Fara in Sabina and I guess I am a little surprised that this would be your choice (for now) given all the other fantastic places you have been. It just goes to show that every place holds something special for each of us. I found Fara in Sabina typical of a rural hilltop town. Not enough things to do for my style of living.
sir, you are simply doing with a feather's ease what Boccaccio done with his leaking ink pens upon unleakable papers, by your static electronic device, upon Italian towns which are leaking in and as sights, to the eyes of traveller lover's;- set to be oozing in eternal innings, simply wow with your ways! silent though, an ample supplement to Boccaccio's talkies!
Venkatesh, what a beautiful message, touched by it... I'm truly touched. Indeed... silent and Boccaccio would supplement it I believe. I try to film more and more the "unknown" towns of Italy instead of the famous cities and all... there's a charm all particular to them.. Glad you enjoy them dear friend and wish you a nice Sunday!
