​@@JacquelineRoseSchlegel which is why Andie was so much better for him than Joey ever was. She brought out the best in him, Joey was so self absorbed and brought out the worst.

Joey was always immature at the first seasons, though. Or maybe it was Pacey who matured faster... I think Pacey faced real life before any other character on the show and expanded his horizons beyond their hometown - and it always felt like it wasn't enough for him. He took more risks both emotionally and professionally than anyone. He became a grown man by the end of the series. Joey really deserved Dawson since he was not immature per se but very naive, stupidly naive... to the point of thinking that what he had with her was love. What Joey and Pacey had was love. I think Joey understood love because of Pacey, meaning he was always one emotional step ahead of her in understand life.

@@redacted2275 I disagree I think jen character went through a lot and was lot more mature than all the characters put together. To be fair what andie character went through in season 2 before they ruined the character was pretty hard . You know joeys character mothers death and dad's imprisonment effect her but she was the least mature of them all . Pacey character had problems but no way in the same as jen but I liked pacey. Dawson started OK but his parents relationship between season 1and2 effected him and his struggle with joey in season 2 . Truth be told Dawson grew up and became better in later seasons. Rewatching the show I like Katie holmes but honestly joey character out of all of them was my least favourite now .

Pacey should have not have yelled at her the way he did.

@@bmonster I agree. When Joey was dating either Dawson or Pacey there was just a lot of fighting. I prefer when the 3 of them were just friends it was much more enjoyable to watch. And Joey finally moving on from the 2 of them would have been a good character growing moment for Joey.

They actually dated during 1 season and the beginning of season 2. Also, it was documented that in real life James did not like Katie and was very rude to her during some key points of the several seasons. How ironic is it that the young man casted as your soulmate was rude and hateful at times the to you, the female character, in real life and the young casted as your sarcastic pain in the side was in fact your real life boyfriend and first love.

@@TheGuyNobodyReallyLikes All this information can be found in multiple print and live interviews during the taping of DC and years after DC was over. The piece about KH and JV came out much later, not by KH but other actors and crews members when they talk about the dynamic on set. JV tried to change the narrative, but KH did confirm some actual incidents in one of her interviews. However, KH and JJ was talked about so much it was hard not to know this information. KH has never hide this information...she stopped talking about it so much when she was married to TC but we know that relationship was strange. In fact, JJ talks about not really connecting with KH again until after her relationship ended with TC and she was the one who reached out to him.

@@livijohnson4087 Pacey was doing pretty well in season 2 when he was dating Andi, it's in season 3 and 4 when he was trying to make Joey happy and be there for her all the time that Pacey let himself go.

I hate this to but it was coming Pacey was like this for a while his insecurities so because of this he let his anger get the better of him they definitely need a break this was the only time Pacey lashed out his anger on Joey.

I completely agree Andie and Pacey challenged each other and pushed each other to be better. Their relationship seemed real and genuine and I don't know if it's just me but I thought that their chemistry was off the charts. I don't really see that chemistry with Pacey and Joey and they just seem to fight all the time without getting anywhere or learning from it. All Pacey did when he was with Joey was bring up how she wasn't over Dawson whenever they got into any argument whatsoever and make her feel guilty for succeeding when he wasn't. It felt like they were constantly walking on eggshells around each other. Both of them were toxic to the relationship whereas Andie pushed Pacey to be better and he helped her find comfort and get better during rough times.

@@vanousisi8112 and if thats works then as you should but specifically to this show imo joey didn’t do any of that to fix their relationship & he could have told her how he felt without yelling at her (especially humiliating her in public) thats just no excusable to me

They got back together because he grew up an matured and they both experienced life away from each other and thats what brought them back together to get another shot

Because after this scene it started all them adult life’s. They were young and of course insecure. Pacey had his family who always underrated him, then he started his relationship with Joey but for him it wasn’t enough because he had his insecurities, also in his relationship with Joey there was always the ghost of Dawson. Personally, I think that Joey cared more about Dawson than Pacey.
