Famously Satyajit Ray of world cinema had surprised many musicologists by gifting original classical strains by simply reversing some Western compositions. This was his way of finding musical backgrounds to some of his movie scenes. From the cognoscenti reflect back on the hams like us who fiddle or blow with trumpets, flutes mouth-organs,the favorite temple drums, tabla and harmonium.Probably these unmusical voyages were rocked back to an enforced silence following the seniors and troubled neighbours' admonitions .We never got to our Eureka moments, perhaps. That said when one listens to this montage of train horns even an untrained ear can sense a design and sonic pattern - the unusual musical arrangement of " sa re ga ma pa".
I mean, I found it enjoyable and creative...but I also only made it to 38 seconds before stopping it out of fear my brain cells were dying. So. Yay for creative interpretation? 😂
Actually, I think that "Thomas" note appears twice, regardless of the video. The first one is at 1:01, and again at 1:13. I'm not 100% convinced the audio and video truly match up. It's still a good "fun" video though.
Very clever! And speaking as a music teacher, very annoying. I will grit my teeth nevertheless, and play it for my students because they'll love it. Thank you.
I am having a very bad week, spending 12 hours a day in hospital at my mother's bedside. And this is the antidote I needed. Glorious! Insane as well, but mainly glorious! Thanks. :-)
Rob Paravonian: "So then I thought, I'll move to the Czech Republic. No way Pachelbel will follow me all the way there! And then I get to the train station in Prague and da, da da da, da da da, da da da da da da da, da, da da da...dahhhh!!!"
I'm afraid I must take credit for most of the video footage itself (not the remixing into Pachelbel though), it was used without my permission nor credit in this video. However, I decided against reporting the video for copyright infringement as it seems to be bringing joy to a lot of people so will live and let live. Could you please provide some credit to my channel seeing as around 90% of the videos/audio in this video were taken, without permission, from my own train horn video? I did wonder whether to report this video but the time and effort that you have spent in remixing this would go to waste if I did so hence deciding not to report this video. The link to the original video is: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3YJewEC-NWo.html
I appreciate your generosity in letting this video stay up, despite it's use of your work without crediting you because I really like Pavel Jirásek's tune. I was also really glad to watch your video, as I had assumed Mr. Jirásek had used autotune, but now I think all the different notes might actually be the real horns of the trains!
Pavel should credit your footage. Glad to see the original, as confirms that he superimposed different horn sounds on your clips. Creative video though!
ACETrainsUK Just watched your footage. You DEFINITELY should have been credited… I mean, how hard is it? That was unfair & rude. Nice job you did with the footage, that was a lot of time & effort. You’re appreciated. ✌️
My theory teacher shared this today to "Inspire us at the end of the year." The guy next to me pulled out his phone, turned on the flashlight, and started waving it slowly. Truly Inspirational.
OK, I know that it's possible to cobble something like this together without putting out a lot of effort but it cheers the hell out of me to think that some wonderful maniac went out to sample all these horns and then spent an enormous amount of time editing it together just to brighten my day.
Well, the person who went out to sample the horns was me in fact! Unfortunately the creator who put this together did so without crediting any of my footage. The original video is ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3YJewEC-NWo.html
