Bother, I was in three E.L.A car clubs in the late 60's-early 70's. Orpheus, Imperials and Groupe CC. My advice to you based on my long experience in lowriding car clubs is to keep it simple. Often times less is more. Concentrate mainly on original upholstery and paint. I went all out and hid the natural beautiful lines of my '62, 64 and 68 Caprice and their interiors by adding a ton of expensive after market accessories and also chromed the hell out of everything everywhere. Totally unnecessary, I turned three natural beauties into overdressed French whores on wheels. lol I couldn't even drive my Frenchies anywhere, they became mantle pieces which had to be piggy backed on the back of tow trucks. It's your personal preference I know, This is just advice from an OG who's been through the same shit. But it's your world vato, I'm just an old head trying to live in it.
