Here's a short video showing the same area featured in my original video. I do not fertilize it, trim the border, or spray it for fungus. It's pretty much maintenance free. Each year in the early spring the whole bed is covered with small fragrant white flowers, and shortly after that the plants send out new growth on the tips. It's a great ground cover. I highly recommended it.

Nice Sameera! The ones I planted have been zero maintenance, which makes them even better! I think your'e gonna be really happy with em. Just a reminder that I planted mine about 1 foot apart and it then took about 3 yrs to totally fill in all the gaps. First year it sleeps, 2nd year it creeps, 3rd year it leaps! That's a good description of what to expect. Also every spring they have nice small white flowers on em that are very fragrant. Good luck! 😊👍

One of my beds was seriously impacted by the heat last summer. Hoping it rebounds and that we don't have another killer summer with severe drought again this year. Plenty of good rain so far that's for sure.

How do you prevent ferns from overtaking your pachysandra bed?? I’ve tried pulling them but they come back stronger, any tips??

I have not had any issues with ferns. I've read that using boiling water and/or white vinegar can be an effective deterrent at preventing the growth of ferns.

How do you deal with leaves that may fall on it? Our area is underneath a large oak tree. Thank you!

I have a Toro leaf blower that I use to clear the leaves. I can actually walk on the plants in the bed in the process of doing this and it doesn't damage them. They are very resilient.

Hi Evette. I planted them one square foot apart. They'll fill in the area faster that way.

Can you plant it in clay soil

My research indicates that Pachysandra can be planted in clay soils. It does not favor soils that don't drain well. If you can also mix in some composted material it will do well.
