The credits are great...if only the rest of the movie could've lived up to it. It just got too ungrounded--started to feel like an ep of a Powers Ranger show--though better. Still, there was an opportunity--it just needed a MUCH better story.
It was an alright film but the first movie was FAR better. They could've made the Jaegers more involved, namely they should've had an entire army fight off the drones when they went rogue (and it makes no sense at all that the drone attacks destroyed the ENTIRE network of bases on the Pacific coasts - surely, wouldn't they have had the Jaegers on standby in case something went wrong?).
Well we shall see what the netflix anime had in store for us because let's be honest it was only a matter of time before pacific rim came full circle with an anime adpt
All jokes aside this movie had some great art, special effects, and sound design. They did a good job recapturing the sound of pacific rim and making it even better.
Definitely had potential to be a good movie, cool designs and fight ideas, and some good weapons. They just needed to keep the heavy feeling of the jaegers. And honestly, the gravity sling was most likely there to just cause unnecessary dammage
They hated this movie because theres no heavy weight feeling in it but when you check godzilla everyone loves it even when theres no heavy weight put into it i agree abt the cgi of the godzilla movie but godzilla weighs 99k tons yet sprinted at mechagodzilla like an air
And because it doesn't FEEL big, there's no any small subject nearby can make a comparision which makes it feel small, pacific rim 1 did so good is because they literally spam helicopters everywhere and made us to compare the helicopters to the jaegers, which made the jaeger looks so big@@leiraollibo3726
@@leiraollibo3726 The problem is, pacific rim was grounded from the start, while godzilla was a metaphor. Plus, godzilla isnt some sort of human made suit that cares about the destruction and tries to avoid at all costs. Pacific rim 2 took all of the aspects what made pacific rim loved and threw it out the window.
@@Sana-zu9yq 1. Red is auspicious color in China 2. Yellow is noble color in China 3. There's some effects witch really looks like a Chinese calligraphy 4. Whole movie was depending on China
@@nomu2299 that's why the quality of this movie can be considered as "made in china"....lol it's universal studios after all. If WB take over, this movie wouldn't be a garbage.
And this is why you don't underestimate and be racist about China and the othe Asian countries. *Shows picture of Shao Industries and real life China* Y'all racist b!tches out there gonna get karma for those murders and attacks you did on our Asian brothers and sisters! (Not including the non-racist people)
"ok sir what kind of effects do u want on the movie scenes that we recently filmed?" "fuck the movie put all of our budget in the credits" "but sir-" *"did i stutter?"*
I have to admit, maybe as a movie itself it's a bit boring, but in terms of CGI, special effects, soundtrack and animations it's one of the best movies I've seen.. Obviously, it has nothing to compare with Guillermo del Toro's masterpiece... But... I think it doesn't deserve SOOOO bad criticism, Only a 7/10 or 8 MAYBE
Finally, someone who agrees with me! Appreciate and see what was right in what we got! Also, Del Toro DID work on this, despite popular belief! (Revealed at 0:18).
Yes! People don’t seem to understand the source material for Pacific Rim 1. It was supposed to feel like an Ultraman episode or something. While this one doesn’t work as a sequel, it’s exactly what younger me would’ve wanted. People who say this was too cartoony also would’ve said Shin Ultraman was too silly.
I got to agree with you in that, it wasn't that bad, the only problem is that it had big shoes to fill and besides, there are worst sequels in general, this one is very OK at best. The only thing I want for this franchise is at least a better fighting videogame with all the Jeagers and Kaiju from the films and anime , in the style of Godzilla Destroy all monsters melee, Save the earth and Unleashed.
This movie definitely had some really cool ideas like the Kaiju-infused Jaegers, Newt becoming possessed by The Precursors, the idea of casting John Boyega as the son of Idris Elba (seriously, I feel like that casting choice was spot on). Also...why didn't they include this track in the ost? It absolutely slaps!
Some people who watched it might've hated it, but it had a storyline, The first movie had the father die during battle underwater, so the son. John Boyega took his place.
It’s not happening because of the bad feedback because of this movie. They are making a pacific rim Netflix series though. Edit: I’ve heard they still want to make a third movie. So hopefully it’s good.
Much like the music of the end titles, this movie just lacked the, muscle, meat and gristle of the first film. The music just doesn’t have punch to it.
Jeez does everyone hate this movie, am I the only one that really Interested in it? Maybe cause I kinda have low expectations but for me this was awesome
Ok this film was bad but can we just take some time to see how cool the jaegers looked tho and the kaiju kinda sad they all got destroyed immediately after meeting a kaiju
Am I the only one who actually enjoyed this film? Sure, it's nothing like the original, but it still had some fairly cool Kaiju and Jaeger designs and some nice action scenes. Heck, the battle in Tokyo is something I could watch on a continuous loop. At least it wasn't a complete rehash of the first film... UNLIKE *ANOTHER* SEQUEL I KNOW ABOUT. (Angrily glances at Independence Day: Resurgence.) I mean, come on, it's not great, but if you just go in and turn your brain off to watch giant robots and giant monsters duking it out, it's a decent popcorn flick.
Mr. LK Fanmade what app to use for creating such Pacific Rim ending music video? I planning to create a music video presentation of a product similar to what you made here.
I honestly felt meh about uprising, it's not about the physical implications of a jaegers body or the logic behind it, there was just some weight and impact behind those slow steps and punches. Uprising just felt like a kids show compared to Pacific Rim which felt like a movie with darker tones, rising tension and best of all: Didn't seem like power rangers.
