World's Deadliest: Pack Hunters takes a deep dive into the world of group predation with a look at twelve different species that use teamwork to hunt more effectively than they otherwise would be able to alone. Though the species are extremely different from one another, they rely on strategy, communication, and very often a well planned ambush to secure their next meal.

Here's to the outstanding wildlife photographers who spend night and day in the bush, maintain their nerve and show courage in the face of extremely dangerous animals, and exhibit professional committment to their craft at a level most can only dream of.

Nah it's pure BS and fake News, on minute 44:33 is pure lies and false information, like all American animal channels, who was the donkey that put so many lies in this documentary? Who was the donkey writer? FALSE DISCLAIMER, they are rarely stolen and lions stay away from these pests, they are never stolen and if they are it is by hyenas, so stop putting the blame on lions because they have nothing to do with it, they eat live animals because that is their nature, and because the intimate parts of animals are the easiest place for them to open with their teeth, and when they eat the intimate parts of the prey they make them weaker and easier to kill, they are very wild and don't care if the prey is alive or not, and they are afraid of horns too, the way they do it is to eat the prey alive and that's it, the rest is pure lies and fake news from the American media

They have a lot of footage but they don't have a lot of studying material or they take what they've learned and they completely irregarded when they're narrating are they just plain out don't care what the locals know about their animals because they are wrong about hyenas and this keeps happening I keep seeing it over and over it's like they reading from a script when it comes to hyenas. Hyenas eat their prey alive a lot of times because their mouth is not big enough to snap the neck and they're very small and that's not the way they attack if they go to the front and the hyena will actually get submitted so the attack from the back and eat to wound so that the animal can't get up basically disrepared muscles so therefore the animal is eaten alive not because they have such a voracious appetite but literally the hyena although they have a strong job on as they should since they have to eat game animals as they're part of the African wildlife in the Safari they are not equipped with the type of Jaws that lions have now did I say that their jaws are not strong no of course their jobs are strong however their jaws are not shaped in Hyannis are not shaped in to the idea structure to go for a neck bite and that's why they don't go for a neck bite many times especially with larger prey. So all in all hyenas don't go for a neck bites cuz they're not built for it Lions go for the next bike cuz they're built for it and they're strong enough to do so. Hyenas are not always matriarchical just because some females can rule a clan it's not always so other hyena Clans don't get along with other hyena Clans and a lot of females are also born very low ranking the mail is not always low and in a lot of cases he's actually very high ranking it's not that hyenas are matriarchal it's that lions are never matriarchal except for the females stay together to raise the babies in this way hyenas are actually a lot like dogs and monkeys and not lions.
@fiveweenies4533
@fiveweenies4533 Год назад
@@amenhalleluyah1111 I agree but hyenas are matriarchal n the males are treated Badly n when of age kicked out but unlike lions they never become king they just move to another pack and stay at a low rank until another male dies

Lion documentaries almost always make the claim that female lions do most of the killing. That is certainly true for members of a pride, which is a group of female lions. A pride can exist with no males, but of course is almost always protected by at least one temporary male member, and sometimes a small coalition of males (1-3). But that killing statistic ignores all the male lions that are NOT currently attached to prides, which comprises MOST male lions. The groups of male lions often called "coalitions" (like the Mapogo, Salatis, or Tsavo) hunt for themselves, and there are zero female members. Lions live approximately 15 years. Males are generally driven out of their birth pride around age 2 or 3. After that, they must fend for themselves either solo, or most frequently, as part of a coalition of male lions. Those lucky and strong enough to claim their own pride generally cannot do so until around 5-8 years old. And the time as pride members is limited. They will forced out by stronger lions at some point. Some males manage to lead prides for 5 or more years, but most do not. 2-4 years is about it for most males. So, for males, they spend ~2.5 years in pride as young, then perhaps 4 years as members of a pride as adults. Some male lions never claim a pride as the dominant male. Male lions spend the majority of their lives killing for themselves. Of their 15 year average lifespan, they're only in prides for 4-7 of those years. Coalitions of males are much harder to study, which is probably the main reason for the skewed perception of killing statistics. Coalitions are far more nomadic than prides, as the males search for prides with males weak enough to be forced out.
@caseG80
@caseG80 2 года назад
Most male lions are killed way before they live out there life until old age and there's no set number for a coalition of lions and recently there was a coalition of 6 all brothers but one. Where did this video say male lions don't hunt? Male lions are constantly on patrol defending their pride because that's a male lions main focus to breed and pass on there genes. There's life safari twice a day on Wild Earths RU-vid page I've never seen older male lions living out there lives alone there killed a male lions life isn't easy

How does a pride breed without males when the prides males are killed new males take over it's male lions goal in life to have a pride to breed and protect

Many cubs are allowed to eat with their father, or the big male, who’s the head of the pride. The only times that cubs die from starvation, is when the pride as a whole is having trouble finding/killing prey. This usually happens during the dry season, when the prey has relocated and the lions are left in their territory with very little to eat. In that scenario, the pride as a whole will have a lack of food and yes, the cubs can die easily in this predicament. Fortunately, this scenario is rare because lionesses are able to time their pregnancy with making sure the cubs are born around the beginning of the wet season. But yes, it’s a fact that the males will almost always allow the cubs to eat with him, if he sired them. Just wanted to clear that up because this documentary gets that part wrong.
