Hi sweetie,hope you cool,wipes are nice but I would advise you to use a baby washing cloth to clean her,for the first days,some wipes have chemicals that corrode the baby's skin,even the pampers stick to one brand if it does not affect your baby gal,I wouldn't advise you to use baby wipes on her face she'll develop some rashes,again in future when you are at home with baby Z you can use napkins at times,pampers are like pads the more you wear them the more you feel itchy and that can be sensitive to the baby,have observed this as am working in hospital,the info might be of help to you❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️sending love and light😊😊😊😊
Very true,I tried lots of diapers on my baby but only Huggies was good on her...no irritation. For wipes, Johnson's was her thing. So it's good to stick to what fits your baby.

As a mom, I’d recommend the 1.Nipple Cream, your nipples might crack. 2.Add extra disposable panties. 3.Cotton Wool (comes in handy when the water breaks and also after delivery) 4.Wash cloths for the baby (nurses will wash the baby as they also teach you before leaving the hospital) 5.Snacks came in handy coz I was unable to stomach any food during labour. 6. Documents ie ID or Insurance Card.
Am laughing to realize I have been wearing a nursing bra not knowing when I bought that bra I thought its swag yake ..yaani the seller couldn't tell me it's for breastfeeding mum🤣

On baby outfits please carry like 3 outfits... n don't forget socks and really warm clothes for the baby coz most maternity wards are usually quite cold....very cold from my experience being a mum of four with my current one being just a year old.... Don't forget leso for you.... With diapers huggies gold or pampers gold for starters is essential just the ka small pack... Do flip-flops instead of slippers coz you be will running around during labour... Your bath towel n also for the baby...
don't forget onesies, romper and vests for the baby. you can't dress her in the outer clothes only. you can also carry the baby grooming kit especially the comb,thermometer and nail clippers. babies are born with very long nails
I think it depends with the hospital...at Karen hospital they offered me thr in own clothes for the baby,diapers...almost everything for 2days till l was discharged that's when you now dress your baby nguo zako.

I would urge you to use softcare...it's the best coz I used them from day 1 up to now my baby is 1.1yrs....but now the problem is that of the perfume they put in....but minehakuwa na shida.
Me too I have been using softcare for my baby and she is a year now , they are so good for gals , very comfortable and drains masusu yote the baby doesn't feel uncomfortable

Senditive oness are more quote quote safer because they have less chemicals. A car seat is mandatory where I live, they won't let a mother leave the hospital without one. Granted like you said everything else the hospial!

For delivery, a life saving tip. I found it helpful to have someone you really trust also, not just hubby. If you can afford it, get a personal midwife or doula too as birth partners....someone who can advocate for you and your medical, emotional,physical needs kabisa. Hubby's are too polite at times overwhelmed. But at a hospital sometimes you need mtu mkali kiasi with medical know how. saa zingine hubby's are dealing with paperwork, bills, phone calls etc. Consider that. A doula/midwife helps calm you emotionally, gives you tips, tells you what's happening and is 100% focused on you. My mother being there for my 3rd and 4th labours saved my life. Both times things went very wrong, I lost my 3rd born, emergency CS she's a labour nurse and she vouched for me kabisa all through and gave them a piece of her mind when needed to. Otherwise I wouldn't have made it. For my 4th, I was supposed to be transfused 2 pints of blood and they were taking too long, my mum was making noise in those corridors like wazimu ndio waharakishe. She didn't care about politeness, she knew my life is at stake. You need a strong person like that 💪 . Saved my life twice. I was in the "best" hospital in Kampala so it doesn't matter where you go. Tafuta mtu strong kabisa midwife/nurse or doula to add on to hubby.

For the wipes maybe software,then mostly I think cotton is best,you just use warm water then wipe her,,,also for the wipes use warm water coz they are sometimes cold...,,,safe delivery dear🙏🥰

Milk comes 2-3 days after as in ile mob...but you will start breastfeeding immediately baby is born and colostrum will come out kadogo. You might or might not need them breaspads beba tu incase milk comes haraka. Learn breastfeeding tips, how long a feed should last, how to latch properly, food to eat that doesn't cause colic etc etc... Then start preparing your breasts by massaging with nipple cream, arimis etc..get P to suck a bit...it helps aki to prepare. My breastfeeding journey was very hard with my first. So I like to share tips. I almost gave up but I had a good midwife/doula who came everyday for 2 weeks to help me. I would be just crying aki. My nipples are too small, the baby couldn't latch properly, if they latch wrong you get wounds, then the wounds can't heal coz they're being sucked on weeeh a cycle...good news is it all worked out, I got the hang of it and breastfed all my babies after that for more than a year. I have 3.

Wipes I prefer softcare they don't react with the baby's skin bt when it's cold don't wipe the baby directly you can dip in warm water or you squeeze out that liquid
