A hack I've found pretty handy for the likes of face wash, Toothpaste and moisturiser is to decant them into 10ml squeezy tubes I got off ebay that I think are designed for homemade lip gloss/ lip balm/ lip oil etc since they look like the same kind of component as a Lancome Juicy Tube but the 'applicator' bit pops off to refill. I've found that 1 tube will hold enough toothpaste/ moisturiser/ face wash to last me a week or more and it helps when everyone uses different toothpastes. When we go away we'd have to bring 3 different toothpastes for 2 people as my mum uses regular toothpaste and an aloe vera toothpaste as she's super prone to mouth ulcers and I use 'sensitive' toothpaste. I've also used the really small travel pots that come in travel sets in the past (or reused empty lip balm pots) which you just dip your toothbrush in (in fact if you look at vintage toothpaste adverts, this is how some brands used to package their toothpaste). It can really save on space and if you leave it behind then it's not a whole tube lost. I bought mine off Ebay but you can also get them on amazon in packs of 10 or so. Any Period getters find that the one time you forget to bring period products on holiday you get your period? I've got in the habit of keeping exactly a week's worth of period products in a make-up bag (as well as some of the style of knickers I wear during my period since I don't find my preferred style work especially well with pads) so I can keep it handy for those situations. If I'm only away for less than five days or already on my period I bring exactly the number I need but otherwise I bring enough for one cycle. I had Covid over Christmas and since then my period has been super out of wack and I can't predict when I'm due anymore (and of course there's 'no medical evidence that this happens' in typical reproductive health research fashion) so there's no chance I'm not bringing them with me. I've also recently switched to reusable pads/ wipes/ tampons (I'm autistic and find showering a sensory nightmare as it is without contending with the 'get dry before you bleed everywhere' situation so despite the fact that I'm not a fan of tampons I use a mini one when I'm in the shower as it makes it easier for me. I found reusable tampons so that should work out cheaper than paying for tampons that are only worn for 30 minutes) and bought exactly enough to match the number of disposables I typically use, but I've read that reusables can be more absorbent, and that sometimes your period can be shorter and lighter when reusables are used so I'll have to wait until I've used them and figured out how many I use per cycle before buying a 'travel' set. I already keep some laundry liquid in the bathroom and in with my 'bathroom toiletries' for washing out reusable make up wipes (I find that works best for me when it comes to washing them) so I'm not opposed to handwashing anything out if required but I'll need to figure out a 'wash routine' before I take the reusables anywhere apart from in my handbag. Fortunately we're not due to go away anywhere in the near future as our seven month old puppy is still at the 'chew everything in sight' stage so we don't want to risk her chewing anything in a self catering place. We typically go to the same dog friendly self catering cottage which is 'puppy proofed' but I wouldn't like to chance her in a new environment; that and she hasn't had her first heat/season yet so we don't want that to happen when she's not at home as in my experience some dogs can be a bit 'WTF' and its already been proven that she is super clingy/ separation anxious when she's sick. She caught a doggy vomiting bug that's been going around a month ago and I'm not joking when I say that on top of my head was not close enough to me!
