I love my fanny pack! I use it on any outings when I want my hands free. I also like how it looks:) I didn't know I was out of fashion but I don't care :) I enjoyed this video, Sophia. Have a wonderful time with your Mom. Aww.....what I would give to spend another day with my Mom.

I can barely afford milk and bread, so trust me when I tell u have I zero plans on traveling to Paris, so tell me how come I watched your video with such earnestness, lol. Great tips Sophia. I am glad you were able to visit your mom. I wish I could have a direct flight from Buffalo, NY (where I live) to Germany when visiting my family. I don't like flying. You really mastered packing 😊

Pickpocketing is not issue here in Finland 🇫🇮 so not all in Europe. Here you can't use backpack in museums you need to have over the shoulder handpag. Its because they are concerned that the artworks can be ruin. And I think that the over the shoulder handpag can only be regular size so like not huge in size. If you go to big museums with a backpack you can leave it in the shutted closet for the tour time. Happy reunion with your mother and it was so nice to see how you pack! Says one who hasn't been abroad for ages. I got some new ideas thank you! ❤ I hope I travel to some new country soon. Paula

I bought a similar backpack to yours earlier this year for a trip to London ( I live in Northern England). It easily fitted everything I needed for a couple of nights away and was so much easier on the underground than a wheeled bag would have been because of all the escalators.

I just got home from Rome . I was on the plane from Rome to Philadelphia for 11 hours .It was awful. Then we had a long wait in the plane to come to Alabama due to Air Force 1. I still haven’t recovered.I hope you have a wonderful time visiting with your Mother.

Very good tips. Safe travels! Not that it matters a lot, but fanny packs are back in fashion -- all designers make them now, and I found a couple of good ones for hiking at REI. If you wrap your cards or wallet in aluminum foil, you can create a Faraday cage to block RFID scanners. Good solution in a pinch.

Hope you and your Mom had a wonderful visit. Thanks for the tips and recommendations--I picked up the personal item backpacks for my girls as part of their Christmas presents--luckily there were 3 different colors so they will each have a different color.

I wore a travel safe fanny pack the whole time I was in Israel and I was the only person in my group who didn’t get pickpocketed! I travel to be safe not fashionable it’s just not smart in these days. A good carabiner is a must!! And have a paper backup of all the trip reservations because the computers could go down like we all know from this summer!! Can’t wait to hear the adventures!!❤️😄

The black thing on your belt bag is a Rain cover. Something like this also comes with backpacks sometimes. Have a nice time in Paris! 🙂 🇫🇷

I'm in Canada and I have been wearing a Fanny pack for years!!!! You see lots of people, especially younger people wearing the lulu lemon Fanny packs, etc. That way, I don't get hassled when I shop with my backpack purse, etc,

I’m leaving for Sicily soon and I love your idea to put the small carryon into the big suitcase! I might just do that,and also I just ordered the phone anti theft and new RFID wallet protection. Also I went to Rome ,Venice and Florence in May and had an absolutely beautiful trip. No issues, we were careful,traveled on our own. I used an ant theft crossbody and a day backpack for touring to just keep raincoat,water ,umbrella,etc. nothing that if they stole not a big deal was kept in that backpack.Thank you for your good tips!!!!

Sadly wherever you go in the world there are people ready to steal your things. Tourists stick out like a sore thumb, thieves will target you as they know you are carrying gadgets and money. When sight seeing only take what you need, be mindful of who is around you.

Lululemon sells tons of “ belt bags” .. they are fanny packs under a different name. They are not passé These days I see most people wearing them across their chest.
