My friend who works for spirit as a manager said that they check the weight collectively. So for 3 bags they need to weigh 120 total or less. So you're good. Since your other bags weigh less it will even out. Have fun!!
Packing is so stressful, I agree. I am so happy that on our next trip we are driving. I am thankful I don't have to stress over weight limits and space. LoL..
Jessica Braun's channel sent me here. Hello! I don't have kids but I love the Disney content. My mom got me the 29 inch Ful bag in black for Xmas 2020- I love it! So cute.
Super helpful! Thank you for the printables! We are going to Disneyland but and it's much less overwhelming trying to pack for 3 kids for the first time. Also, thank you for sharing the spirit airlines info! I would have thought 50lbs 😬 I will be using a "personal item" trick I guess too lol
Funny story- I remember feeling like I “arrived” as a “big kid” when I got my very own suitcase with only MY THINGS in it. I wonder if your girls will feel that way when they are bigger, or they won’t care. I wouldn’t want to share a packing cube or suitcase with another person! But Mommas do what they have to do to stay organized.
I remember feeling that same way and even more so when I started getting to pack for myself. You really gotta do what you've gotta do when traveling with littles. 😅
We’re driving to Disney in 29 days and I’ve already started packing because you’re so right it is stressful but I love how organized you are and the luggage tags on the packing cubes is pure genius.
I grew up in California and traveled frequently to Mexico and Spain to visit family. My mother used to pick each family member’s in their own suitcase until one trip to Spain, when I was 6 years old, only 1 of our 4 checked bags arrived at our destination. I’m talking 1989 so Amazon and online shopping was not a thing (upright suitcases with wheels weren’t even a thing in the 80’s). Since then my mother started packing differently. Full outfits, shoes, ect were distributed for each family member in each piece of checked luggage. So, I know you split clothes based on resort stay but I actually think it’s a good practice moving forward . This is how I always pack for my family of 4, plus my carryon always has a set of pj’s and full change of clothes for everyone as well (I’ve also had missed connecting flights where I had to stay overnight in some random airport without luggage). Live and learn. As for the extra weight…when my girls were younger I would baby wear one child and, instead of gate check my stroller, I would check it in for free at my departure airport (and/or the car seat). I have protective check-in bags for these baby items because, well, airports and airplanes are gross and they don’t handle anything with care. As these are pricey baby items, I try to buy protective travel accessories to keep them safe. Anyways…again, as I check them in while they are in protective bags, I also maybe put in a few extra items in the bag 😉😉. Maybe a pack Of diapers in the car seat bag, maybe some toiletries. Those bags don’t get checked when you drop off your luggage, it’s a bag marked as a car seat or stroller (and you can even tell that is the item that is in the bag)…Just a little extra something to remove 1-2 pounds from my luggage
Those are such great tips!! We love having our stroller in the airport and check it for free at the gate but know others who love checking it with their bags at the ticket counter.
@@thepixiedustedmom I feel like all packing is a hot mess express you did great. I’m packing for a wedding this weekend and I’m running around doing last minute things so I’m a hot mess too!!!
We get travel sized kid’s toothpaste every time the kids have a dental cleaning! They also give us little packs of kid flossers which are perfect for travel as well.
I love how you used the packing cubed. Looking forward to your Disney Blogs. I'll be curious to know how long you stay in the parks before the girls need a rest although the stroller looks very comfortable for naps too.
This is a good reminder for me to pack early, I needed this. I have a month to go, but I am a stressor and also to get a list going. I have outfits that can't be left at home lol. Also good thing I stash up on kids dental supplies when we go to the dentist. Since now that you say it, I don't think I've seen mini kids toothpaste unless its from our dentist. I need to get a home scale, since I've been over before and had to do the unpack of shame in the middle of the airport.
Loving your packing videos! They are real and raw and so well thought out. If you don’t mind where did you get the little ones pearl ear headbands? Going for my baby girls 1st birthday and would love those.💗
Love all the tips! Can you share where you got your packing cubes and/or brand? Definitely need to get some. They look great! We need some for some upcoming road trips including a big one to a Disney world! Have a great trip!!
Nope. We use bus transportation from the Airport and at Disney so we don’t need them. You can also use Minnie vans on property through the Lyft app and they come with two car seats.
Hi! We don’t take either. The transaction we use doesn’t require car seats and Disney Resorts have pack and plays for you to use for free. Just call the front desk do housekeeping and they can bring one to your room.
We do split stays fairly often and enjoy trying different resorts. It does take time out of the day you switch resorts but if you are like us and want to try different resorts it's worth it!
Hey sorry forgot to ask at what age did you start letting your little have their own backpack for the airplane? Did u find it helpful or just another bag you ended up carrying lol.
This will be her first flight where she needs her own seat so this is her first time having her own backpack. Lol I expect to carry it or it ride in the stroller through the airport. 😅
Do you check your stroller at the gate? If so how is it getting through security with such a wide stroller? I also have a side by side double stroller and plan to take it when we go so I was kinda nervous because of how wide they are 😬
We do gate check our stroller. It was a total breeze! They took the stroller from us and used the wand to check it while we walked through the metal detectors with the girls. I was nervous but it was literally no big deal. 🙌🏼
Hey loved this one!! Girl I'm with you on saving those baggage fees!! I did want to ask for excess snacks (like all the puffs, pouches and such) do you pack most in one of the suitcases and just a few for the airport? We will definitely be eating lots of disneh snacks but my kiddo is a snacker and I will need to bring plenty for a full week!
@@thepixiedustedmom oh awesome I'll try that! I also loved the idea that you have all your stroller necessities in one suitcase. Definitely copying this idea! The stroller gets more accessorization at disney than my family does hahah
@@chrissyscorner3663 I like to have like things grouped together as much as possible so finding things isn’t a headache. You aren’t wrong 😂😂😂 the stroller is decked out.
@@thepixiedustedmom ahh okay! We stayed at the Grove so that wasn’t an option for us. It was a headache for our family of 4 😩 just another reason to convince my husband why we should book at a Disney resort next time 🤪
