You will absolutely love Storybook Dining! We were beyond grateful for a castmember that pixie dusted us with a cabin after our tent was destroyed from a storm at Fort Wilderness in April. They recommended that we go get something to eat to relax at Wilderness Lodge until it was ready and wouldn't you know it got a walk up to Artist Point. I swear she noted our account because that just made this frazzeled momma completely relax!
Did someone say packing video???? YES PLEASE & THANK YOU!!!! I love a good packing video; nothing gets me excited for Disney more than the anticipation via Disney packing. Also, that jumpsuit is just cuteness!! Happy Mother’s Day, Jen!💜💐
You’re I’m going “one way or another” comment - made me think of Blondie. Which is one of the Guardians ride songs. I think. Once I read the list of songs, that has been going through my head. I’d love to get that- Disco Inferno or Pat Benatar. All favorite songs from my youth. Have fun!
I get cold easily but the one thing I have found about going in the summer is I get so hot that I use the A/C as a cool down time but am never in it long enough to actually get chilled. The winter is a different story. I end up wearing pants and brining a sweatshirt and still end up freezing inside but then am too hot outside. Oddly I prefer the summer weather. I do bring a sweatshirt and blanket for the resort though. I'm gong in August and can't wait to pack haha
Love the packing videos, that is actually how I found you, I'm addicted to them. I try to travel with a carry on and a tote of some sort, even though I drive down and can really take as much as I want. After my last trip I decided I needed a new suitcase so now I'm on the search for that. Can't wait to see where you are staying.
Fully agree! The night before a trip I never want to go! And its even worse at the minute...I'm in the UK so we still have to take a covid test before we can enter the USA. It completely ruined the countdown for us in March!
I always stress the night before a trip! Always wondering if I’m taking the right clothes, not forgetting sunscreen, bandaids, medicine, etc. And I usually pack for all of us. Arranging and rearranging to make sure everything fits. Your packing tips are really helping me right now because we are taking the kids to Walt Disney World for their first time as a surprise in August. So I’m paying close attention to your what to bring for the weather and making sure to pack it without them being any wiser. I can’t wait to see the looks on their faces! Thank you for your tips!😊
I've gone from trying to pack my carry-on suitcase to accepting the reality that I will have to check my larger suitcase because I have so much stuff! I am quite jealous of your owners locker! But just 16 hours and I will be on the plane!
I completely agree with packing a light jacket (or cardigan or any sort of light top layer) because the buses and restaurants can definitely get cold and no matter how hot the weather is I’ve always been glad I remembered to bring something with a sleeve that’s easy to carry around and throw on as needed.
I leave on Saturday for my first week-long trip w/o my littles. Started packing today. And, I feel like "I don't want to go." This video is hitting home.
Well yes this is me every single time I need to pack for a trip. But 10 times worse! :-) Full tantrums and meltdowns even. yeah. I hope I'll be able to have a lot of time to pack for our February trip, because I do not want to be stressed out completely by the time we need to go to the airport :p
I love the Stoney Clover mini backpack, but it's just a tad too small for me. I'm 5'10" and a size Large shirt, so the straps are a little snug on me. Wish it fit better because I love the size and the drink holder on the side (wish they put that on the large backpack). Have fun!
I always love your packing videos. It really helps with the thought process of why I should pack what I do. Your bags are very full so it doesn’t look like you plan to shop. The more trips I do the less I buy as well.
One year to the day since my mom's diagnosis (which I know I always comment about, but I feel like we're friends having a hangout when you post!) and giiiiirl I needed this video today, I LOVE packing! I'm packing for a trip to Florida in the next couple days, I leave Thursday! My partner & I are going to just beach it up for 5 days and it's going to be awesome! I'm doing some pre-packing right along with you. :) I can't wait to see how your trip went!
This video was fun to watch! I totally can relate to what you said about feeling so overwhelmed preparing for a trip that you ALMOST don't want to go. But, you REALLY DO want to go! By the way, I visited WDW four times, from September 2021 through March 2022. I stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village in a two-bedroom villa, at Saratoga Springs in a one-bedroom villa, at Bay Lake Towers in a Delux Studio, Disney's All-Star Music Resort, Riviera Resort in a Tower Studio Room, and Port Orleans French Quarter (split stays/points and cash). I don't recall seeing a Disney plastic laundry bag at ANY of these resorts during these stays. I think they have discontinued offering them to resort guests. Please, let me know if you find one in either of the rooms that you stay in during this trip. I just always pack my own laundry bag now Also, I try and bring home clean clothes when I have access to laundry facilities. It makes repacking for the journey home so much easier to have clean clothes and I don't mind doing laundry on my vacation since there is usually not that much to wash. Enjoy Your VACATION!! Thanks for sharing. And Happy Mother's Day!!!
Love all your outfits!! The jump suit, tho! Such a great piece! And the hat!! I saw that hat in November, and my biggest retail regret is not buying it! 😭Such a cute hat! Those ears!!!😍
Love it Jen! We leave this month for Disneyland and this was very helpful. Hope you’re enjoying your trip! Keep the camera rolling, girl! Can’t wait to see your WDW split stay content. Love and warm hugs from Suzie in Seattle ❤️🌲
I can't believe how close to home this hit for me, Jen. I just came back from a week-long solo trip to Disney. The two or three weeks leading up to it were like a soap opera - work crises, mother-in-law and elderly dog crises, and my sister - who was supposed to be my travel partner - canceled at the last minute. I have never gone into a trip feeling more disorganized, or more guilty about leaving, and yet everything worked out just fine. I even left the long list for my husband, some of which he may actually have followed! Everybody survived, and I ended up having a lovely, restorative week. I hope your experience is similar and that you have a wonderful trip! It is so hard to let go of all that responsibility sometimes, but then again, sometimes letting go is just the ticket to maintaining your sanity! 😊
Love, love, love packing videos! I normally personal item only pack in my Vera Bradley weekender, but I have a later then normal (for me) flight out on my last day, so I'm packing in a backpack. I fly out Tuesday!
Oh my goodness, I'm leaving in a few days for a WDW trip myself, and I'm also in that stage you started the video in! This is what I do when I have too much to do - watch a packing video and hope I get motivated 😂😂
You so inspired me to pack light for our week long trip to DL/San Diego in October. Was going to comment about the shoes until you said why they were not in a bag. 😝 anyway have a great trip. Enjoy and say hi to Mickey for me. 💖
Hey Jen! I just got back from a 2 week solo trip to Disneyworld. I enjoyed my meal and the characters at Storybook Dining very much. Service was great (just a little rushed but great server). I definitely overpacked but I'm a work in progress 😁. I'm going back in early Dec for a week before boarding Disney Wish cruise. So excited! Thank you for sharing the packing videos, I really enjoy them.
Me too Gina, I’m definitely an over-packer! I’m really going to try not to be on our next trip this summer. I get a little better each time. It’s hard when you think you “might need” everything you own!😂
It’s a good thing we aren’t traveling any time soon, because Away would just take all of our money. 😂 In other news, we hope you’re having a FANTASTIC trip!
Where did you buy the dress for story book dining? Great video by the way. I am usually in a constant state of overwhelm, so I appreciate your “this is real life” honest attitude.
Overwhelmed the day before departure? Absolutely regardless of how much planning / pre-preparation I’ve done. And while I’ve done all of this numerous times before, why does it always feel like the first time? 🙃
Thank you for sharing that you don't want to go just before a trip. This seems to be my ritual...pack, repack, wonder why I ever thought I'd want to go anywhere, realize I packed all wrong, repack minimally, compulsively check if my tickets/ID/vaccine cards are packed. Try to get a good night's sleep. Just before I leave the house, I throw three or four items in the suitcase at the last minute and against my better judgement. These are to have something to regret bringing and to carry to a new and exciting destination without ever actually using. Step out of the house and immediately get exhillarated that I am on an adventure. I always have a good time.
Hey Jen! Did you happen to be in Epcot yesterday? My boyfriend swears he saw you going through the merch in the new creations store. Either way have a great time we are here for 2 weeks from the UK and having a great time!
@@JenLefforge Hehe awesome! He has seen me watching your vlogs and getting DVC tips. He came back to the hotel last night and said ‘I think I just saw the you-tuber you like to watch’ 😅 Have a lovely trip and I look forward to watching more great content on your channel!👍
Hi Jen... Love your videos. My wife is interested in where you got the luggage (the blue suitcases) can you fill us in on the brand and where you got them?
By the way, kudos to you for being able to travel alone. I want to go on a solo trip to WDW sooooo bad 🥺 But I’m not sure what is holding me back. I guess I worry I’ll get lonely. How do you do it?!! lol
