This is very helpful. I have a question for you. I'll be heading to Kenya and Tanzania this summer. In total, my trip will be just under three weeks. I'm finding it a bit stressful to think about packing enough clothes for the trip and keeping within the weight limits. Do you end up just wearing the same clothes day after day? And don't they begin to stink? I also have a lot of camera equipment which will add quite a few pounds. Any advice?
What about Space Vac bags? They are transparent, durable, reusable, plastic bags that you use as packing cubes but can remove the air by either using a vaccuum cleaner and sucking out the air or rolling the plastic bag to remove the air. Are those kind of plastic bags allowed in Rwanda and/or the rest of Africa?
I'm curious, how big is that black duffle? I have a Eagle Creek Cargo Hauler 90L bag I plan to use. For our East Africa portion, it needs to be under 15kg (shouldn't be an issue) but see nothing on dimensions. Does dimensions not really matter since it's softsided on bush planes?
