I grew up like most Americans listening and emulating Rock guitarists until I was about thirteen. Thats when I first encountered Paco playing alongside John MacGlaughin and Al Dimeola. I was astonished and overwhelmed. It changed how I saw and experienced the guitar. He's awesome and revered the world over as one of the greatest. Love to see others appreciate his artistry and the gift to us all.

It's not often that I enjoy RU-vid reactions, but yours I do, because you are a genuine person. It's clear that you really enjoy the music and that your reactions are sincere. Cierto, es raro que los viejos rockeros como Roller Green o yo mismo nos salgamos de la linea que marca nuestras preferencias. Yo por mi parte hace bastante tiempo cambié el chip cuando descubrí que la variedad es infinita y que hay que escuchar de todo porque enriquece.

The guitarist to the left is his older brother. Their dad was a guitarist, too. I saw an interview once with Paco, he said the thing he was most proud of in his career was that when he was a kid, he helped put food on the table for his family. They were dirt poor and his dad had to take him out of school at around age eleven (education wasn’t compulsory or free in Spain at that time) because there was no more money to pay for it.
