ill never forget this fight, this was PacMan at his peak I had just got out of high school moved to downtown Milwaukee when i was 18/19 years old, but i came back home because my pops threw a fight party for this one He just like myself has pacman among the greatest of all time and one of his personal favorites, but he thought maragrito was to big for Pacquiao this time around so i bet him 100$. Me, him my uncles and Cousins all old school Sicilians from Chicago played cards all night and when this fight started after about 3 rounds in everyone's jaw was at the floor (including myself) and were shocked how brutally pacquiao was beating tf out of Antonio, that was truly a legendary night for myself, my dad, my family and one we won't forget in a million years. It's memories like that, That Manny Provided my and some of my family that we will NEVER EVER forget. Pacman is the GOAT. Period.
Manny is special, no taking that away but..... Erik Morales has to be right up there with the best ever in any weight division. Morales cleanly beat Manny and many others. My money is with Morales.
I followed Manny after his first fight in the USA,and i was just stunned, that was when he was a jab, jab, left, yet because of his speed and power he would just wear down and exhaust his opponent! When i saw him fight Diaz i couldnt believe what i was seeing,to see someone change that much was amazing, and a thing of beauty! Mayweather found every excuse not to fight manny until he knew manny had been through wars, then finally fighting him. Had he done it in Mannys prime,he would have been flat on his back, manny didnt give excuses,he was always ready to fight, never a safety first style fighter like Floyd! Those who say manny took illegal substance are only jealous of his accomplishments! There will never be another Manny, and his record will never be done again! We miss You Manny, boxing isnt the same without you in that ring! For years you made boxing great,God bless you and your family, youll never be forgotten!
yes Manny so considerate, asking the referee to check Margarito's bloody eye area, but Margarito still able to throw punches why worry of him? just keep on jabbing Manny, coz Margarito does.
69yrs old can't think of a better boxer. Mr. Manny Pacquiao is for me THE GOAT. I hope his retirement into politics is as successful as his boxing career was. The people of the Philippines are lucky to have such an honorable man in politics.
Very respectful and, in a sport like this, he was very humane to his wife and family. Manny Pacquiao is without doubt one of the greatest boxers of this century. 💪🏽💪🏽
Pratik…… TRUEST! The Boxing World won’t be same without Pac-Man! Lucky ME for witnessing his rugs-to-riches struggles …. Most VITAL is his humility…. And I pray his humility becomes more infectious…..more contagious….. should Pacquiao change, May he be More & More Humble🦋🙏🦋🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
@@virgodota8643 ryan garcia? lmao. ryan fighting style don't work on elite fighters and we can all see that. he has the power and hand speed. thats it lol. poor footwork, lack of jabs , glass chin and lastly, he has poor deffence .we all saw what luke campbell did to him. he just want to finish the fight with one fucking punch. that ain't gon make him a world champ. that aint gon make him far in boxing. that aint gon work on elite fighter and its not even close. I respect the kid but he needs to focus more and put more work on his boxing and not on social media lmao. he needs to improve and learn the basic fundamentals. there's nothing wrong with going back to the basics.
@@hoopverseproduction. r.garcia is only 24 and you he only gets down 1 time in his career, he can improve more. remember pacman also gets knocked d many times before he reach that level.
@@virgodota8643 manny's fighting style is the big factor of his development through out the years. Don't get me wrong, ryan is good but he really needs to add more fundamentals on his boxing. and if he do, then he will be a great boxer no doubt about it. but if we talk about p4p? nah, I can't see ryan move up in the weight classes and dominate. he'll be annihilated if he move to welterweight and above.
I have been following boxing for about 40 years and have to say pacman is for me the greatest of all time.Fought everyone, got robbed a couple of times and still took it with good grace.Another fighter heading for greatness is Inoue-ring savvy and a knockout punch as well.

Had Manny stayed below 140lbs, he'd have had perfect record and dominate with ease.... but, this is not why we love him so much. The man wanted more and gave us all in the ring. One of the top 5 all time hands down.

IMO, Pacquiao's really not aiming for a bigger title, every post fight interview he always says that He just want to do his job as a fighter and make people happy by giving them a good fight. It just happens he always does his best in every fight that results to greater outcomes. Through win and lose, he always wins every people's heart, that's why he really is a People's Champion, A natural born fighter with a heart full of humility, I believe it will take a hundred years to have another fighter like Manny Pacquiao.
Pacquiao - He Mastered the Head Movements, Beautiful Footwork, Speed, Smart on picking when or where to make a hit, Strategy and so on... Salute to both boxers.
No debate Floyd’s better and proved it made Manny look ordinary. Nobody who fought during Floyd’s era is better. Not even Pacquiao could crack the Philly shell. You Manny fans are delusional as fk. Goat ? GTFOH
If there has ever been a boxer undeserving of mercy it was Margarito, but it's a testament to the greatness and good heartedness of Manny to show it to him anyways.
Приветствую всех дорогие друзья! Кто заметил благородство МЭНИ в последнем раунде особенно когда он просто жалел Маргарито и не наносил ему жестких ударов, это показывает какой он ВЕЛИКИЙ

such a pride of our country... pacquiao is one reason why other country recognize our country... thanks to this man for putting our country to the map..
I miss this moment of boxing sport. boxing is the most seen sport in era of 2000.we filipinos are happy watching this great fight of our idol manny Pacquiao .even though in tv we watch we are happy to realize this boxing event.but right nowadays boxing is boring and nothing special unlike 1990s-2010 era boxing is amazingin my opinion
We miss you Manny! You're still our PEOPLES CHAMP👊 Pound for Pound The best in the world. The Legend and GOAT ❤🐐👏🇵🇭 You are ONE of a kind ! The filipino people is so proud of you😊💖 This fight was one of the best and my fave cause he achieve the 8th division championship wohoo😍
Probably only a few have noticed, but the biggest most damaging shot that Manny has thrown to Margarito was the slicing uppercut, perceived to have missed the mark but have actually caused the most harm. Manny was just so powerful...just saying...
Yup. That was the punch that broke Margarito's orbital bone. There was even an interview in which Robert Garcia spoke about that punch and said something to the effect that he heard how hard that punch landed. You see Margarito's eye swell immediately after even though at the start of round 4 his eyes were fine.
I'd say he is one of the greatest to ever lace up !! I like the fact he never ducked anyone or made excuses he has been in serious battles trilogies unlike other's that think they are the best of all time he's definitely one of my favorites to watch awsome athlete great man!!

Petinju yg aku salut pacman dr filipina ga sombong walaupun dia di hina lawan sosialnya sm masyarakat filipina luar biasa hidup many p semga hidupmu bermanfaat
Yea didnt Pac say he was hurt worse in this fight then any other? Think he said he was in serious pain, but the way he fights you cant even tell he just pushes through the pain, serious warrior. Wouldve loved to see Duran vs Pacquiao at lightweight now that would be a fight 😮
Replying after a year as if it matters but I totally agree! Rios, Thurman said it didn't hurt after pac man fight but their faces tell a different tale hahaha Manny is the G O A T.
Manny is a great person in real life. He's also a good cook with a wonderful sense of humor. I lived in General Santos City for 9 years just down the street from him in Parok Malakas . I met him through Gerry Penalosa (Manny's mentor and first trainer). Years later Manny helped Gerry return to the ring for his fight against Mauricio Martinez, Gerry and his wife (Goody) stayed with me. Gerry won and Manny threw him a "Home Cooked" meal dinner at his place in LA, he gave him the $5,000 he promised if he won. Manny cooked, joked and played the guitar. This was over 20 years ago, but it was a memory I not forget. Manny was a hero to many....
28:12 The uppercut of Pacquiao that started all of the troubles for Margarito, it didn't land cleanly but the friction of the leather of the gloves to Margarito's skin was enough to do the damage. You can see Margarito reacted immediately, he felt something hot in his face. *BASICALLY THE 8TH DIVISION UPPERCUT*
The 'friction' of the glove had nothing to do with it, he had a broken orbital bone not a gash! You can see the big egg under his eye the moment he turns around before there's any redness. He wouldn't be feeling something 'hot', he'd be feeling like his face just smashed into the corner of a bench. The punch landed with a thump.
It is a shame that when the fame invades him, the humility disappears. On the year 2011 he fought Juan Manuel Marquez and the referee gave the fight to him when indeed in the fight it was balanced to Marquez. And after the fight he said that the judges were right and that Marquez was wrong.
Every time I watch this fight, I'm even more impressed. My favorite part is always this: every time the commentators say something positive about Margarito, Manny peppers his face immediately after
The audacity of Pacquiao to stick to 147lbs, 150lb limit in this fight, where he can still fight at 135lbs back then was beyond me. One of the all time greats
he doesnt have steroids, false accusation...even at his younger age hes strong... he fights bigger than him for food...and he pray before and after the fight...God gave him the strenght.
one of the best fight ever that we watch and one greatest performance of manny paquio in his boxing career. you can put this fight in top 25 best fight ever
Everytime Pacquiao see his opponent get hurt and no longer can match his intensity, he will slow down and hold back a little bit to show Mercy and respect to the side of the fighter.
He's a true sportsmanship boxer. Watching all his boxing match he's never shown sign of tireness. He gives you that sense like he's tire, comes back with another explosive punch which just makes the boxing much more enjoyblable to watch. I use to hate watching boxing match because both fighters are already showing signs of worn out after a couple first round. And both opponents are just sluggish and leaning on each other. To me that's just boring and not as entertaining as what Mr Manny pacman can bring to the boxing match. He made sure people are entertain and surprise with each blows he throw.
What about Hatton? He literally destroyed him even when Hatton started to slow down. Manny doesn’t care, not that he should, it’s boxing, as long as you don’t kill your opponent it’s fine
Margarito's style of walking down opponents & wearing them down overtime doesn't work well against explosive punchers. Margarito was hoping to tire out Manny, but Manny's speed & power prevents Margarito from putting on the constant pressure that he needs to tire opponents; Manny was even able to make Margarito back up with his combinations. Manny did a lot of damage.
It worked very well, it was still very effective here. Margarito hit hard and didn't even flinch under most punches. Margarito wasn't 'prevented' from putting on the pressure. He was really getting to Pacquiao until Pacquiao's punches really started to hurt him. Starting with some early hard right hooks, then a left uppercut Margarito painfully ducked into, then a left hand to the body and then a series of big right hooks throughout the fight. Even after getting hurt, Margarito was still there really hurting Pacquiao until he faded in the last quarter of the fight. This was a brutal, rugged fight. Got to be those bricks fighters talk about Pacquiao having in his hands.
@@7dayspking It worked so well that in round 10 (54:00), after landing a 10 punch combination and no response from Margarito, Manny looked at the referee as if signaling that the fight should be stopped. Margarito never stood a chance. Margarito had one good moment in round 6 and that was it. Margarito lost damn near every round and got reserved every time he walked Manny into the ropes. "He was really getting to Pacquiao" Margarito walked Manny down all night and Manny never got tired from it - how is that "really getting to Pacquiao"? Manny would land 7-10 punches in return and on average to every 1-3 punches from Margarito. Pressure is only effective if the other guys gets tired, which Manny never did, thus Margarito's pressure failed him.
What? 🤣 No, he ultra trashtalked Manny for months and came almost 3 weight divisions higher than him, trying to win. If he looked like "he stood there and took it" is because he just couldn't do anything against Manny 🤡 Also he was a cheater and a liar. But he got his punishment 😉
@Luka Doncic Both called Manny PUTO!! A favourite Filipino native delicacy☝️💝☝️ PUTO may be described as soft & can be wriggly …. just like a man without bones😂😂😂 Manny treated Both as d Pinoy PUTO! Both “WITHOUT BONES!”
I admire Margarito's courage but he was no match for the speed and formidable boxing talent of Manny, probably the best boxer/fighter that I have ever seen.
I'd say he was a match. That was a rough and close fight, Pacquiao was fading in there at times. Took true Grit for Pacquiao to survive that, get Margarito off and come back. Pacquiao's chin seems near unbreakable though and except against agapito sanchez I've never seen his will fade. Other 'talented' fighters wouldn't be able to take or wouldn't be willing to fight through the same punishment.
Look, in my opinion Manny is a great, the greatest. For me, 8th division world champion? Fought everyone and everyone I mean, name them he fought them all. That is it for me. I’m in awe of the man, the legend. What a champ!!!
Margarito was never the same after this beat down. PAC MAN doesn’t really knock ppl out but he beats them to a bloody mess. He ends other fighters careers.
Some of the most one-sided sustained beatings ever in boxing (not counting quick KO's): -Roy Jones vs Richard Hall -Floyd Mayweather vs Arturo Gatti, Diego Corrales -Shane Mosley vs Antonio Margarito -Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Nicholas Walters, Jason Sosa -Larry Holmes vs Randall Tex Cobb -Andrew Golota vs Riddick Bowe (both times. Just brutal!) -James Toney vs Evander Holyfield, Iran Barkley -Joe Calzaghe vs Jeff Lacy -Jack Dempsey vs Jess Willard -Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar de la Hoya, David Diaz, Marco Antonio Barrera 1, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito
@@dltguitar6532 Absolutely. Good call. Ledwaba was a master boxer creeping into the pound for pound top 10, and Manny just came in on a couple weeks notice and went right through him with ridiculous hard power shots.
@@mauromedina8535 this is such a dumb, lame take. Manny was the smaller man every time: he was a former FLYWEIGHT who had moved UP each time. He was too small to come in anywhere near the 154lb limit for the Margarito fight and was outweighed by the Margarito by 18 pounds on fight night! If you think THAT'S somehow an advantage, then God bless you... For De La Hoya, Manny had the title at 130, had a single fight at 135 pounds with David Diaz, and then skipped two classes and moved all the way up to 147 to fight De La Hoya. De La Hoya came down one class, which is what happens when there is one fighter several classes higher: they meet in the middle. Was Manny supposed to jump up THREE immediately and fight him at 154?? With Cotto and Barrera, they came in two pounds under their maximum weight class limit at weigh-ins, again to fight the smaller guy. So yeah- that's definitely the reason they lost. 🙄
@@jacobhartmann1050 you are some idiot who don't know boxing pacquiao used lots of catchweight advantages secret huge massive abusive contract clauses and refusal to blood anti doping test s
The most thing i like pacqiuao is his humble heart, no extravance even he knows he has the power and high chances of winning he still humble in his hearts,
Why is there so much hate we should appreciate pacquaio and mayweather we all watched 2 great athletes fighter let's just watch them both and watch greatness
While most announcers thought the 4th round uppercut thrown by Pacman missed, I believe it grazed the face just enough to rip open the skin under the right eye of Margarito. Look closely - before the uppercut, no injury; right after the cut quickly began to swell... On another video of the fight, you can hear the skin of Margarito's face go "Thwap!". Another thing to notice: compare this fight to Pacman's very early fights against Julio Eliecer and Lehlo Ledwaba. Look at how much damage Julio and Lehlo incurred in just the first few rounds. Notice how Manny punched "through" the target during those early fights. This full force punches caused maximum force with each blow (Lehlo's nose was likely smashed in the first round, and Julio was overwhelmed midway thru 1st, and he was done by the 2nd). Now years later, look at Manny's punches (and his facial expression) in this fight during round 10, 11 and 12. (I'm wondering if Manny at some point after those early fights, that he realized that if someone was killed as the result of his blows, his own career (and the hopes and dreams of so many at home) would come to an abrupt end. He must have realized that this is something he never, ever wanted. He just wanted to make his country proud and to bring himself and his family out of poverty, and now he had found a way. Like a most all time great fighters, he loved boxing, and having it end with tragedy (e.g. Mancini vs. Kim) is something Manny does not want. Margarito was finished and defenseless easy target by the 10th. It was pretty obvious Manny was pulling his punches and looking at the referee to stop the fight by the 11th. You can already see his slowed punches in the 2nd half of the 10th, and by the 12th, even the announcers found it obvious. What is really crazy is even after Manny bulked up for the fight, Margarito was still not only 17 lbs heavier, he was nearly 1/2 foot taller and much longer reach.
The amount of stamina that can come from a 5"6'ft, 147lb man is just amazing. Constantly throwing punches and moving around for several rounds against a much bigger opponent.
Garcia: "I have several fighters in different division champions." Mayweather sr: "me too." Freddie roach: ".............that's cute, watch my one fighter take over those divisions."
