SIR I worked in power stations all my life IF THE INSPECTION was done in maintenance time these problems were going to be picked up in time maintenance scheduled today we have only caders with respect no more skilled people .

I am confused you mention that the tubes get heated by heat transfer by water ie a kettle ,then you mention the pot ash corrodes the tubes and which would make more sense that the tubes are heated with coal burning and not coal boiling water to boil the water in the tubes
