I was 5 years old when we moved from Atlin bc to carcross in 1950 . Great place to grow up !!!!!

Fine work as always, Les. I was born a few years too late, I think - what I would give for just one trip to Dawson and back on one of those ships!

It is a shame that they now longer run , I'm sure that would be a great addition to tourism for the area

Thanks for the post. I looked this up after reading an article about them in Archeology magazine. (There is currently a team working to record wot's left of these boats). The woman speaking from 5:00 on is beautifully sad. It struck me as a melancholy eulogy.
