In the UK it's normally used affectionately lol. It's sort of like "Darling", or "Cutie Pie", also used condescendingly, like you may say to your bro making fun of them "calm down sausage" as if you're talking to a silly little lady friend.

He has just said and done some shady things, as a fighter he is honestly pretty good (for an english fighter) I know he had a boring last fight, but usually Paddy fights are entertaining.

I've really started to like Paddy again. I do believe this is a tougher matchup than people think, however. Tony's tricky and unorthodox on the feet and if Paddy does take him down his BJJ and elbows are nasty
