Conor pushed himself and backed it up. Paddy is trying to push himself but the UFC know he's garbage and that's why he's on his 4th awful opponent. McGregor was facing way better opposition at this point in his UFC career - he fought Holloway in his 2nd fight and Poirier in his 4th. Imagine if McGregor had a performance like Paddy against one of the journeymen he fought on his rise in the UFC. McGregor would have been an absolute laughing stock if he needed a gift decision to beat somebody like Brandao, who he fought in his 3rd fight.
