This operation reminds me of my grandfather. He worked construction and had a passion for it. Always got to the site early, got home late, straight as an arrow, provided everything for his family, had incredible values and was loved by everyone in our neighborhood. Good old days when you worked and you were proud of your job and company. I see these people working for 40+ years for Padrón and it’s amazing. Think about everything they have gained in those 40+ years (knowledge, house, car, food, and etc). We should appreciate loyalty more than anything.
I got into smoking cigars this January and I bought a few Padron 2000 cigars from my local cigar lounge and knew right away that they were something special. I ordered a box of the sun grown 3000s and the maduro 3000s and have not been in the least dissatisfied with them. Padron is easily my favorite cigar maker. Every cigar is constructed perfect and the flavors go great with my favorite whiskeys. Thank you for making this documentary and showing us the process of how they make their cigars! Hope all is well! God Bless!
Well unless they’re there under coercion, then they obviously are being paid better than any other alternative. Economics 101. You are free to donate some of your extra money though. Meanwell I might take the savings I get from cheaper cigars and donate it to a place that is even more destitute.
I've been to (apparel) factories in Central America. They were clean, modernized, and organized. This looks to be on that level. I've seen and worked in worse factories here in California. If you haven't been to or worked in a factory before, I could see why you'd feel there's a sweatshop vibe - until you've actually been in a "sweatshop". Also, keep in mind it's humid down there, and they need the environment to remain humid for the sake of the tobacco. Otherwise, many factories down there are actually climate/ac controlled.
After smoking many, many, many cigars for years, at the end of the day if there is a cigar I know I want to savor and enjoy myself to the fullest, it has to be a Padron. Even the thousand series are absolutely amazing cigars for the price.
@@ministryofcigars8222 Dam. That is mind blowing. Padron Cigars are my go to. Satisfying, perfect draw and beautiful ash. And like you know Satisfying.
Padron cigars are the best cigars on the planet, better than Cubans, the 1964 are my go to cigars, back in the 1980s I was a cigar buyer for the liquor store where I worked, I had purchased a box of the 1964 Exclusivo for myself and although they were wonderful I didn't think they were as good as normal, I told the gentleman that I purchased from,at Diebels Cigars and within an hour I got a call from Padron Cigars and they sent me a box at no charge, I asked if they needed the other box and they told me to keep it, they were so good, wonderful people to work with, what's crazy is I never asked for anything, just wanted to tell them that the cigars were not up to their standards, Diebels and Padron are great people
Pardon Cigars are the Gold standard of Cigars. No apologies. The attention to detail and quality control is impeccable. The unique soil and climate certainly helps. I Love the Padron story.
Ive smoked cigars, off and on for forty years. First , i found what wrapper suited my palate. Ive smoked most premium cigars, including Cubans. I perfer Padron hands down. They are consistently good, regardless of what gauge or price point. The Padron family are true artist of the cigar world.
Pardons have been my favorite smoke since I started smoking cigars over 20 years ago. This video was great and I really enjoyed the history and process of where my cigars come from.
Padrón's quality control is the best in the world. They've evolved to be a text book example of vertical integration. They control the entire life cycle of their cigars - from seed to shelf, including price. Other businesses can only dream of such a sweet position. And their cigars are extraordinary!
I can’t stop watching this video and Mr Padron was a great mad a great man which a great family will always keep him in my prayers and by the way best cigars in the world if you ask me
after 8 years exploring most major cuban and non-cuban cigar brands, I am ending my search and sticking with the Padrons. they have no equal, and are in a league of their own. the holy grail of cigars indeed! smoking anything else feels like a waste of time. by the way, excellent documentary on a great cigar maker.
Padron cigars are excellent cigars I enjoy them with my favorite whiskey ( Bushmills 16 or 21 yo }, I believe todays Cuban cigars from Cuba ain't got nothing on this.
A beautiful smoke. Expensive, but I like to treat myself to a Paddy once in a while when I need to feel like I deserve it. A great informative film, thanks.
Thank you for creating this episode at the Padron cigar facilities. Padron is my go to cigar, and the quality is exceptional every time. I would love to visit the fields and factory one day. It is a bucket list trip for me. Blessings....D
A real great American story!! We are all immigrants, but nowadays ppl expect a hand out instead of working for it or going about it in the wrong way..... Then have nerve to fkn complain!!! Go back to the 3rd world living and complain to them that u had the chance and the world by the balls but we're lazy! I love a story like this! Amazes me also when u hear ppl coming up from nothing or traveling to a country with $10 and have it all now! God Bless all the hard workers that keep America & their families happy & healthy!
Padron makes the best cigars! I don't understand how they do it, so much flavor! There are so many other cigar companies out there and very very few even come close. I do smoke other cigars but when I want a cigar that I know for sure will burn right and satisfy every time I smoke a Padron. My go to Padron right now is the 1926 No. 6 maduro. I also smoke a lot of the 1926 No. 90 maduros, they are so freaking good! I have never had a Padron cigar I didn't like, only some I prefer more than others. I wish I could of met Mr. Jose Orlando Padron. Rest in peace sir. You will definitely be remembered by me and every other Padron lover!
I have watched this video several times now, and I enjoy it each and every time. Padron Cigars are among the best out there, and I know that Jorge Padron will continue in his fathers legacy in the production and quality of the product.
Second time watching this. I learnt something new again. I had a chance to try the #2 a couple of times and it was amazing. I took a picture of you and Jorge parings and I will give it a go. Thanks for sharing.
In my estimation, Padron is THE best cigar, and cigar making family. I have a humidor full of good Cubans, but just ordered a box of the 80 year perfecto. My daily is the Padron Churchill Maduro, for the past 20 years or so. I love that man. Bless his soul.
thank you padron for making some of the best cigars. its true...when you tried padrons.... you never look back. thank you once again for making the most wonderful cigars. May god bless you and your families with good heath and happiness. salute!!
When the Padron factory was in Miami a box of Maduro, "Toro" size cigars was 26.00.A bundle of Maduro Fuma's was 18.00.Boxes had 24 sticks, bundles held 25.Anyone out there have a time machine?
careystuart being from Arabia I remember my uncle talking about how cheap Padrons were in the States. Man a stick of 1926 costs 120$ in here, can you imagine the torture ?
Best I've ever had! The 1926 and the 1964 are awesome. No Cuban could ever measure up. The 7000 in Maduro is my go to. Never a bad stick. Nothing negative to say.
Amazing cigars, I have had a few of them From foxs cigar bar London, I tend to have one cigar a week and I like it to be high quality and as it's once a week I don't mind paying for it, mind over xmas and new year I tend to smoke one a day, I know this is light cigar smoking but I enjoy them more when I look forward to it.
Absolutely love this video! Walked away with even more appreciation for Padron and the hard working people of the Padron company! Por siempre amar a Nicaragua!
Beautiful video .. It's amazing how it all started with an idea to make something better and now we have the pleasure to relive that idea over and over with each padron cigar. Bless the padron family and it's work of art.
silverss onyoutube I really think people who swear on Cubans do so because they are "taboo" and kind of exotic or whatever. Personally I don't care where it comes from, who makes it or how much it costs as long as it's good.
21:44 - I don't understand how can the smoking be the favorite part of the tour when you can smoke everywhere and anytime, but seeing the manufacturing process is a unique experience.
I've never had a bad Padron cigar. The 1964 maduro is my favorite. I like them so much I've never even tried the 1926. Weird, I know. Someday I'll fix that.
Funny thing, I'll always remember the first time I learned how to truly taste a cigar (it was an Oliva G figurado), and I'll also always remember the first time I tasted a Padron (it was the 1926 no. 35). I literally did a double-take at it and was like, "Holy shit! Now THAT is a tasty cigar!"
I know exactly what you mean about the first time you had a Padron! I had my first Padron last night (1926 Series No. 90) It was a astonishing. I always thought they were a bit hyped but after having one.....Wow. Now I have to try to resist going broke buying them lol.
@@MrGTI05 Haha, I'm faced with the exact same dilemma! That, and I seem to be chasing the dragon, so to speak, as most of the subsequent ones I've had haven't been quiiiiite as good as that first one, haha!
Padron are very well made cigars. I believe they use some of the best tobaccos available year after year. I've been smoking cigars on a daily basis for 40 years plus. The only Padron cigar I ever smoked that I truly enjoyed was a Padron 3000 in maduro, and IIRC it was a Toro. I bought 3 boxes of them out of a small shop in Florida via phone. This was smack dab in the middle of the first cigar boom. Their high end stuff has something in the flavor profile that I find to be very off putting. I've tried them 30 to 40 times and never been able to get through a single cigar. I also honestly believe they are among the most over priced cigars on the market and have been for decades. This is just my personal opinion. Fortunately, the vast majority of cigars I enjoy are priced at reasonable levels. I'm stunned at how many brands now have cigars in the $20 to $100 price range. I'm even more stunned at how briskly they sell.
awesome¡¡¡¡ cigars. maravilloso reportaje....... deb existir un tour para conocer elproceso y probar ahi mismo un padron, felicidades vic. igual jorge padron por perfecionar un preoceso sin igual,..
