Thank you Dr. Flanningan! I'm a PICU RN in the United States. I've been away from the bedside for just over a year. As I prepare to return to the bedside, I REALLY am grateful for your pod casts! I know you uploaded this 2 years ago but, as a critical care nurse with 14 years experience, it's been a necessary & appreciative tool for me. If you happen to read this please make more videos! I'll share the videos with friends too!
@@PaediatricEmergencies Pearl #11: always know the CDC protochol for treating gonorrhea. The reason why is there will eventually be someone in the know or semi-in the know whom asks you for this information, already knowing the correct answer to the question posed. If you can't give the correct answer off cuff, you look incompetent, which is never good for you or any patient you may be treating. XD.
In Germany we give Ceftriaxone by push over 5 min iv. The medical information (Fachinformation) states that it can be given as 5 min push but infusion over 30min is preferred. Do you have information that speak against using the push application?
