Great job buddy. It’s a beautiful piece but Adrian hit the nail on the head. The closeups were a bit blurry man, but you had some great and crystal clear shots mixed in. I like the comments included in the videos. Great engagement.
Thanks man! Yeah, I tried something diff, only have iPhone 10 and closeups aren't great, so I took a wider shot then tried to crop closer to see if that made it any better, and obviously not. I might upgrade my phone a little early with my next adsense payment and get one that will take some nicer macro. Thanks for checkin in friend!
I've had this for a month and so far...WOW!!! The Milgauss is my ultimate grail watch...I will never have it. I paid $103 CAD for mine. I am very happy with this purchase.
Great review Chris, and thanks for answering my question on the AR coating. It seems like it looks great in spite of no AR coating…some dials are good enough to get away with that! It is a shame about the clasp though…I was able to unstick the easy link on one, but as you pointed out, even if you can, those microadjusts are a true nightmare. Still, seems like an excellent watch overall.
I've found that if you soak the clasp with WD40 then hold the outer casing with a vise grip while heating the underside of the clasp with a blow torch before each time you wear the watch, the divers extension will work fine most of the time. I also had my watchmaker drill through the adjustment holes on the sides of the clasp so it can be used like most other clasp adjustment holes.
@@MirrlyonTime On the serious side though, I may have gotten lucky as my diver's extention actually seems to work fine, but I also have PD's Air King homage with the same clasp and that extention is a B[*%H to open 😠
@@DarthPlaya yeah they are hit and miss I wish they would go with a glide lock like some other brands are doing, much better and way less hassles, assuming they could do that right lol
Yeah that is a good point Chris, with the boundaries of homaging. I am torn on the matter in general. I think some super exotic or very old models that are basically impossible to get a hold of are ok to homage. But I am not sure I could draw a clear line. I think if you have a watch that is well made before being a homage, it's in general ok, at least if the watch has its own branding and is not a ripoff. I've never owned a PD and I think that is because something always looks a bit off to my eyes with their models. Almost always it's something to do with the proportions that are off compared to the original model being copied. Same here, somehow the dial looks too big with respect to the hands.
I don't know enough about the rollie to really know the answer to that, and I understand people's beefs with homages, but I do like them, esp since you can get the look without paying the price, and this isn't exactly a direct copy, but yeah they are close sometimes though aren't they?!
@@fiddy_watchguy one can only hope! To my knowledge they haven’t, they could do a on the fly adjust as other Ali brands do or actually do micro adjust holes but nope. You have to open the dive extension to get at the micro adjust, and sometimes that won’t even open, lol. I have a jubilee Batman gmt and broke the bar that the dive extension clicks into trying to move the micro adjust. It’s been a long standing issue, hopefully they have addressed this on newer versions but not that I know of yet
