This very same watch arrived for me this morning. I love the feel, the look and the quality of this watch despite its humble origins. Unbeatable value for money imho.
I recently picked one up and P.t Time print is gone. They do listen to their customers and audience. Also case side brushing is definitely more even. In case of the strap, no stitching errors at least and feels okay for the price. I thought I would change it immediately, but for now I give it a go. Thank you for your review. It made it to take a look at this watch and now I own one.
nice video. got in in black. i had to replace the crown stem with a longer one to work properly - a little QC issue, but easy for me to deal with. while i was at it, i regulated it to +8sec/day and replaced one rusty blue screw. good to have spare parts… love it now!
@@karategk1 well it doesn’t look like most people had the problem I had, so I think it is worth a try especially if you get it on sale. I have not had any other problems in 6 months . Always an inexpensive gamble with these mid priced Aliexpress watches, but I do think this one looks exceptional for the price plus you can return it often to a domestic return center if there is a problem right away. Cheers!
@@crimsontheta2647 still running well at about +4sec/day with healthy balance amplitude and low beat error. My black dial version has silver color hands.
I followed the link in the description and unfortunately I saw that these watches were sold with Roman numerals, but Arabic numerals are no longer available?
Hey mate. Love the review. Would you know off the top of your head what the width of the strap buckle? Looking at different straps but would love to keep the buckle
Quick question, just received the watch, it looks absolutely gorgeous but I'm a bit concerned about the loud ticking noise the mechanism makes. Did you have the same with your one? It's as loud as one manual wind Parnis I've got but I knew that this Parnis ticks loudly, but not sure if it's normal for that Pagani? Nh35 is super quiet, you need to hold your ear next the watch, here you hear it from a distance. It doesn't bother me as long as its normal for that mechanism.
I don't remember it being so loud. I know the Parnis you are talking about... It wasn't that loud, that's for sure. I say just keep track of the movement and it's accuracy and power reserve. As long as that all seems ok, I wouldn't worry about it too much
Nice vid, thanks for that! I always thaught my Stuhrling is the best hommage to the Portugieser. But its quarz and costs about 220 Euro. So you presented me a affordable alternative! Thanks a lot and go on!!
a great watch and you're right about the strap maybe you should do a poll ,croc or plain leather ? then send it to pagani who if their response to the lume issue is anything to go by will sort it in 5 yrs
I received mind from amazon the other day and had to do an exchange because the crown would not go back in, it stayed in the time change mode and would not click out of it.
Hey turdbogls, can you ask Pagani if "P.t time" is actually "P.i time" but with a weird font for the "i"? Some of us were thinking maybe it was that, cuz P.t makes no sense, but P.i could be a shortening of "Pagani". If not, what does "P.t time" actually mean?
One of their watches has "PT Time" not in a funny font. It is indeed PT time. I asked them what it was, and they said it was just for balance on the dial....so it means nothing. 🤷
@@EscapeWheel Well that answers that then. Thanks for the info. I've been staring at that on multiple watches for months and having that mystery resolved is better than nothing (which is exactly what "P.t time" means). Yay for gibberish on my watch dial, I guess 🤪
Just a comment about your concern that you can't have a 200m watch with a display case back. That has no effect on water resistance. Omega uses them on 600m and 1200m dive watches. If that was really true, the larger crystal on the front of the watch would even be more of a liability than the small one on the back.
I don't understand. On their product page, the ad in the photo says the watch is called the Aurora Tank chronograph. But this name does not appear anywhere. Why do they do it? What is the official name of the watch? OMG...Pt times madness...
Like this (and the plain model too) but honestly don't think i can wear (either) it, as the white full dial looks big and the watch is wide already. Pity, cause it looks awesome. (same stands for all the IWC Portuguese...) Thanks for the review Steve, be well mate.
Depressingly accurate to the original IWC dimensions, which is also oversized imo. Looks nice enough though. Also, a display cashback is not indicative of depth rating. Most of omegas dive watches are 300m or 600m rated with display backs. On the other hand I wouldn't use omega as a measuring stick for a pagani either.
For what it is worth, WR4K claims that the HZ 2C-10 is actually based on the old Seiko 7009 caliber but with the addition of hacking and a longer power reserve. I have no idea where he got that from and I welcome anyone to check his accuracy
WTF...where'd he get that info. The 7009 is an old Seiko 5 movement with day and date....no sub second, no power reserve. I'm not claiming I know WHERE this was derived from, of anywhere, but it doesn't share much with the 7009 movement from what I've seen. 🤷
@@brianmccord7387 if you've been around on Reddit you know the drama between he and I. I'm not saying anything else. But I take what he says with a huge grain of salt.
Unlike other paganis I own, this one has been a real let down. The movement is garbage. In the first one I ordered, the calendar function did not work. I ordered a replacement, and the power reserve indicator is frozen in the UP position.
It's ironic. Crock skin straps are used as a status symbol, a premium material....but I've yet to come across a croc skin strap that has been even close to being usable....they are terrible. I've seen nice $10 straps come out of China...charge me a little more on the watch and give me a decent strap.
@@EscapeWheel Thanks! I thought I had a faulty one as the crown was very stiff and I couldn't get to second position at first, also after adjusting the time it wouldn't go back in! However after a dozen or so attempts it seems to have freed up ok...just new I guess...🤞
