Paganini Caprice 24 - Ambi Subramaniam 

Wow, Ambi sir, I must say this is one of the finest performances I have ever heard, and it fills me with immense pride for your talent. This piece, which is typically associated with Western violin legends, is executed with such brilliance by you that it's truly remarkable. It's a testament to the fact that an Indian musician can achieve a level of skill and mastery on par with the greats of the Western world. I feel honored to witness such a remarkable display of talent.

Just wow, don't know how I missed this genius all these years!! anyway better late than never. No doubt he is compared to Itzhak Perlman. My kids play the violin - western classical ( and pretty well too, if I may add)...so I know the hours that generally go in these perfect notes :)

The most melodic interpretation of what typically seems to be a purely technical challenge for violinists. Its hard to find the melody in most interpretations I've heard so far, even from the very best western violinists. You've brought melody into this piece. Bravo!

Very interesting interpretation of the song..Bravo for taking on what's considered one of the most challenging songs ever written for the violin by The Devil's Violinist!..... Interesting to bring in shades of Carnatic in the main melody.... The orchestral score at some points detracts and overpowers the violin.... I'm sure you would have heard a million versions of this..... Good presentation! Paganini's 24 caprices are not real easy ones and it is still a challenging stuff . It would be better for todays Carnatic violinists to also master all these 24 caprices as it would further improve their violin playing and Ambi is setting a trend.
