iginal score of the caprice is too easy for Hilary Hahn yet? How difficult has a score to be, that this violinist is content? Odd things exist on the world! I 'm very astonished!
@@FranciszekCiuk I think she did use a different score, cause at 6:23 ish, she doesn't play the chord written there either, also the end is completely different.
As a piano player it seemed to me tricky but not very hard, that is at least what I said my violin friend,he insulted me in ways I never thought were possible
@@samzheng2433 lol yeah I've tried playing pieces for violin on the piano with one hand, except that I forgot about the fact that playing on the violin can give you a larger range of notes that you can play at once and meanwhile pianists' hands are only so big-
@@wengxuan5776 Yea, definitely not a direct comparison. Especially because violinists can play notes spanning 3-4 octaves because of the different strings
You have to try on the violin yourself to see whether is it true as all violinists claiming it that hard though. If this score is translated into piano main melody with another accompaniment, well it's quite hard even these notes are in one hand! I play piano and double bass so...
Imagine a rap battle, but it's for violin. Paganini and Hahn stand facing each other in the streets, glaring. Paganini pumps out a flawless and moving rendition of his own 24th Caprice. The crowd shouts "OHHHH" and "AYYY," with no belief that anything could possibly to that. A bead of sweat trickles down the back of Hilary's neck. "No one said this was gonna be easy," she thinks. Without breaking eye contact she starts cranking out her own, even more ambitious rendition of the SAME CAPRICE, right in front of Paganini's shell-shocked face. The crowd goes absolutely ballistic as they heave Hilary Hahn up into an 1810's style crowd surf
Paganini: only I can play this (original 24th caprice) Milstein: I can make it harder so no one else can play it 11 year old Chloe (Ling Ling): I can sight read it
im like 99% sure she didn't sightread it. The videos are scripted so she probably already knew how to play it beforehand. Not that that isn't impressive, I'm just pretty certain she didn't sight read it. it's pretty obvious actually when you realize there isn't even sheet music in front of her when she is demonstrating.
@@andreaugljanin9624 um I dont have Insta any more lol but I will get it again 😂 and I will Definetly add u💜 chimm~chim power all the way lol Do you have Google hangouts?
s n o w f l a k e I think the comment “Paganini would be proud”, as In he would be proud a huge part of him would live on. He deserves the recognition and legacy. There’s no need to be so objective you can’t interpret basic sentences. 🙄
How is this possible tho...it's actually unbelievable!! Made me realise just how incredible Hilary Hahn is: her technical skill is clearly brilliant and the fact she still managed to convey a lot of musicality in this piece and avoid it sounding like an exercise 👌
My broken heart leads me here. Im listening to sad songs lyrics, then how to play violin , then twosets violin , to chloe chua now to this hilary hahn paganini. 😯 I entered a different mind blowing world . I got hooked... 😂❤ ... My heart is healing though& thank u very much for knowing such genius level music.... 😄❤😄
@@luisanarodriguez5236 Yes, thanks. But I meant "performed" as in on stage in a recital or concert encore. (That clip is quite long actually - 5 minutes = most of the work. I have my doubts as to whether Chloe will ever perform it. I tend to think that it doesn't really resonate with her (and that more generally Paganini's caprices don't either))
The little trill ad lib she added in at 8:05 is SOOO AMAZING i wish it was scored so i could at least attempt to play it - imma have to do it by ear now YAY :/
Yeah, it's really difficult to play any four notes simultaneously. It helps, though, that of these four notes only one is fingered and the rest are open.
Ling Ling: if you can play it slowly, you can play it quickly Hillary Hahn: if you can play it slowly, you can play it quickly Well, obviously we know who Ling Ling is 😂
@@LukeABarnes “Hey Eddy! I love your playing, your musicality, your interpretations, and just your musical talent in general. I love the emotion you can see in your facial expressions. Love you! Hey BRAT.-“
This piece can work musically if it is played really slowly and with a shed load of imagination you can begin to convince yourself that you can play the violin.
I could just picture Nathan Milstein’s impish grin, generously heaping praise in his inimitable Odessa drawl. He appreciated a good bit of fun, and this recording captures the fun in Milstein’s idea.
