My take? Lol. Oh yeah it's staged. I'm just curious as to what extent. I feel like TLC makes up bullshit and somehow it makes its way to one of the moms. They're probably the most toxic bc they just want to record drama not giving a DAMN about the effect on the kids. It's bullshit to behave like these moms do but to them they're simply standing up for their child. TLC only wants money so they start, I believe the majority of the trouble. No excuse but at least the moms act like dumbasses out of love. Well, most of them.

What did i just watch! You’ve got grown women carrying on like toddlers. 6yo looking like grown women’s faces have been photoshopped on their bodies. Special needs kids who no one knew were special needs. One of them getting singled out for paperwork no one else was asked for, after being ‘informed about’. I don’t think that woman was shouting at the kid, she was shouting at the parent. Still not appropriate though. But the pièce de résistance was that woman at 7:30 flicking the little girls hair and telling her ‘ you’re learning at a very young age…’ whatever it was. At this point i’ve lost track of which kid belongs to which delightful mother, but what that woman was ‘learning’ that little girl was how the passive aggressive mean girls are going to treat her and older women can be extremely inappropriate to little girls. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from everybody.

@Houndoomgirl77 4 года назад
Its not cheating, cheating is doing something against the rules in secret to get an advantage in a competition. This kid is already at a disadvantage and even with extra help will NOT be at the same level as the other kids. They are also not doing this for competition and are actually getting points docked for it which goes against the meaning of cheating. Also the director is in full knowledge of it and approved it. There's no cheating because there's so secrets or benefits to be had. Disabled people shouldn't have to be set to the same standard as people that are able to do things with no help and they shouldn't be separated and discriminated against because of their needs

@@Houndoomgirl77 I agree it's not cheating, because they get punished for it with the appropriate consequences and they take the punishment willingly. But what you said about how disabled people shouldn't be held to the same standards in a competiotion is just bs. If a disabled person partakes willingly in a competiotion, then they are to be held to EXACTLY the same rules as anyone else. They are not less and shouldn't be babied like they don't stand a chance anyway. Let them compete with DIGNITY and in equality if they choose to test themselves and partake. Even the disabled girl in this clip isn't getting treated any different than the rest: she has the same rules and consequences for breaking them apply to her as to anyone else.
@AdvantageousAngie
@AdvantageousAngie 4 года назад
I think there is a difference between cheating and breaking the rules infront of the judges, willing to take the point loss for it. They said over and over she doesn't compete, she just does it for confidence. The judges can see who is coaching and deduct the points, and they figured it was better to just lose the points since she isn't doing it competitively anyway. But yeah I agree, even if the child wasn't special needs, just talk to the judges afterwards to make sure they are aware of the rule breaking. Don't yell at a kid on stage like a toddler

I don't think it was all because of the pageant. I think Harli's mom was just pissed because of what the other mom did during her daughter's time on the stage. If that was my daughter, I wouldn't have just cursed at her. No one is going to sit there and smirk after shouting at my kid while she's on a stage of any kind. Doesn't matter if she knew about the special needs or not, it wasn't her business and that's for the director and the judges to handle, not her. She wouldn't have kept that grin on for long because I would've smacked it off her the moment it was over. It's not about the pageant for Harli's mom, it's about her daughter's confidence and making her feel good about herself. This is so irritating because I grew up with that stigma as well and no matter what, that is NEVER something you should say. We (special needs people) are just as gifted, if not more so, than others and can flourish just as greatly. Sometimes we just need that extra push early on to get us to that special place later on in life. That is coming from personal experiences. This really made me mad and hurt for the little girl.
