It is an elementary rule in Constitutional Law that only the Senate has the right to remove by impeachment any Justices of the Supreme Court after the Congress has find probable cause of any grounds for impeachment just the same that only the President can appoint any justices of the Supreme Court after the tedious screening process of the Judicial and Bar Council. IT IS AN ABSURD AND EXCESSIVE EXERCISE OF THE POWER OF THE SUPREME COURT TO REMOVE ITS CO JUSTICE MUCH LESS THE CHIEF JUSTICE. It is a mockery to the Constitutional Independence and an insult to the Democratic process.

If her argument was accommodated, the Aquino family would stand to receive billions of pesos from the State.
I hope the senators stop questioning the ruling of the SC. They're only making it look like the Judicial and Legislative branches of the government can stick their nose in each other's business.

Yes correct Sen Lacson ,the supreme court has original jurisdiction on quo warranto , but has authority to removed the chief justice , its congress where Sen Lacson has the duty under the constitution.
