wow, one another blast, wishing all the team of I Sur a very happy Magh festival. This festival is also celebrated in the Jaunsar Bawar region of Uttarakhand. This region shares state boundaries with Shimla and Sirmour districts of Himachal Pradesh sovereign state and also shares lots of similarities with Kullvi culture and lifestyle. I was invited to the Magh (Maroj) feasting at one my Jaunsari friends. Here in this region, people enjoy eating the Mutton (especially year-long reared He-goat at home). Indeed rich in culture.

Sandeep Singh I'm from Sirmour. Jonsar used to be part of sirmour once, it's language is slightly different now but yes culture is same. I'm quite surprised actually to see the similarities here, as I could understand 80-90% of this dialect. Infact, Jhoori is a type of genre here in Sirmour. As to Saja, we don't eat non veg on sakranti or sacrifice animals that day. We eat Siddu, telpaki(like shown here with ghee) . Similarities are probably because both of these region have sizeable Khasha population hence khasha culture.

This is a master piece from iSur Studios. The music and the script are so beautifully composed to match the spirit of Makar Sankranti in the hill state.
