The GP Laureto was launched before the Nautilus. So if anything is a copy is the Nautilus. I don’t want any of them. The VC Overseas is on a different level.

It annoys me when Archie gives opinions like this. Resale value is just one criteria for watch purchasing… and for quite a lot of people is of no consideration whatsoever. Being the trailer park bogan that he is, he cannot grasp that some people just want to buy what they like. The GP is a desirable watch in my view.

I think Archie gave good sound advice. If the man wants to buy the watch he at least knows what he is getting into. Archie looks at the purchase from a very practical point of view which is liquidity and resale later on.

I think a steel GP could be good value but I have to agree with Arch, you could buy a JLC Reverso or Master or Bregeut Classique in gold for the same 18k. I guess it also comes down to taste, not just value.

In an investment point of view, you should spend 18k on a Patek or Rolex, however, GP is indeed a great part of watch history and with many elegant pieces that are simply art work.

Couldn't agree with you less, and BTW way the Laureato line pre-dated both the Nautilus and the OverSeas! I just bought a brand new full set GP Laureato 42mm Chrono Blue Dial for less money than a Rolex 36mm OP is going for on the grey market!! These watches far exceeded my expectations and they are just spectacular in every way!! Compared to my 5711 (blue dial) the GP is an overall better package, the case and dial finishing is on par with the PP under a loop, the bracelet is much better, although I suspect the movement finishing on the PP is better but I can't actually tell as the chrono has a closed case back. Only watch geeks would know the difference between this and a 5711 or the AP RO, normal people only recognize Rolex and to a lesser degree Omega. that said, these watches and I'm partial to all three chronos, are probably one of the best buys on the market if you want an available beautiful haut horology piece at an amazing price.

GP makes actually incredible watvhes the Laureto was the second big player after royal oak in sport watch industry and a. Beautifull piece from steel, with blue dial you can buy for 10000 euros the equvivalent AP, PP, VC if you can find are from 30000- 50000. Are tou mad man? They are a great company.

GP has more haute horology and significant achievements than those other nobody brands you sprook on the channel. First 36,000 bph movement. First commercially viable quartz movement. Check yourself before speaking ill of them again.
