omgosh!!! you have videos for everything!! so grateful i found this, precisely what i need to do in next couple days and have had so much anxiety over it, until i just found your video. i am surprised you dont have a “booth” around area tho, when i sprayed a jacuzzi tub service door in our home the spray went everywhere even tho i protected floor in immediate area with paper. no windows nor air flow back there either. it really caught me off guard how much powdery overspray there was.
Disappointed that your final shots did not show us the metallic finish up close. I also wanted to see that spot where initially paint was peeling off. You had to patch that, and I wondered how the finish ended up.
Chris.....why on earth would you prep the surface AFTER you've masked? Surely it would be more effective to prep THEN mask? Just my thoughts. Otherwise, great instructional vids.
Was there no need for a light scuff sand to ensure proper bonding if paint to metal? Is there any sort of fan adjustment on those cans? Seems like it was a tight pattern.
Can this paint also be used to paint the tile surround of a wood stove? Hate the tile color. Or is there a better paint product for that. The tile looks like slate maybe.
This was just what I was looking for! Thank you! Question I have is, Should I use a primer/white, if going from a dark fireplace to painting it a lighter color?
Great videos and appreciate the calming music in the background. Sometimes peppy music is just too much for whats going on. For something like painting, the more subtle music is better and easier to just focus on the task. Thanks for the video and tips.
Question about using this paint and technique for updating my old almond color wall oven. It is metal frame and glass front. I would like a stainless steel / brushed nickel finish. Thank you.
Hi. The fireplace at the end of video where you two are standing, is that slate that you painted? Looks like mine and it is slate. I’m not sure if you can paint slate. Can I paint slate? Thank you. They look Great. Good Job!
