I don't understand how anyone could give this video a dislike... This was the most informative and elaborate gouache tutorial I have ever watched, so much background information, so many tips, thank you, Myriam! I found this really helpful!
I have tried this just today, it turned out looking so nice and im so proud of myself. Thank you for making this video, I've learned a lot from this process. 🥺💜
I am totally amazed with the quality of information and the quality and skill of delivery of the information. The skill as an artist is tremendous to say the least and I sincerely hope you go onward and upward towards VERY GREAT THINGS! I also really REALLY hope you NEVER stop these videos! It has been a long time since I enjoyed one as much and I have NEVER learned as much! Many many thanks!
Thank you so much! You explained in very much detail, still so beautifully simple, a quite intimidating medium.. and got me hooked up on it... ahahaha Again, thank you very very much!
I had to like this video before even finishing it because you are such a thoughtful and thorough instructor. Thank you so much for sharing all of these resources, info, and know-how with us. (et oui, je suis en train de regarder à 3h du mat. Vive l'insomnie! 😑)
Actually, your gouache videos are the ones who made me subscribe! I remember the bee(?) painting u made a while ago and I fell in love. U basically reconciled me with gouache as I was a bit bored with it at that time. Thank you for the video! ❤️
omg, i think I just discovered a diamond, I tried many many gouache tutorials and I can say that I was a bit satisfied with my work following you, I actually enjoy practicing a lot and learning, of course, a lot. Even how to sketch you show it to us. Thank you very much, if someone asks me the best to learn a yt gouache tutorial, I will highly recommend you. So informative.
I am almost 50 years old. Never heard of "gouache" paint until yesterday and found your excellent tutorial today. Thank you so much for creating this for us!
I love the video... when i was little i used watercolor cakes with more paint on the sheet... i did not know watercolor shud be just colored water in the chart back then. Now after seeing gouache i feel i had used watercolor as gouache back then...
Bless you for this, Myriam. Damn this is just so useful for me. I've always been terrified of breaking down landscape paintings for fear that I may never assemble them back up again.
This was amazing! The break down of the painting, the explanations everything just made it so easy and relaxing to follow along! This is exactly the type of video I’ve been looking for! My painting still looks very beginnerish in comparison but it’s still the best I’ve managed to paint so far and I’m so proud of it! Please tell me you’ll do more videos like this?
I am very fortunate to have been led to you. Thank you for thoughtful, comprehensive and concise tutorial. Beginner in Guoache and falling in love with medium
I really appreciate your comment about the color match in case… I tend to agree with you about things being organic when there are slight color shifts. Thank you for this series I really enjoyed it
I so agree with the comments made here. A very well made and extremely informative video. As a lifelong watercolourist, I have just a few days ago bought a set of gouache paints and was wary about starting. Not any longer. Thank you, Myriam. All my good wishes to you.
fantastic video, lovely explanations and absolutely gorgeous landscape, I'm absolutely new to painting and to gouache but definitely going to try this one tomorrw, because my first attempt as in "follow the flow" yup, nope.. haha! Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for this video. Although I’m sure I will not be able to apply the tips the very first time hahah I would be coming back to this video every time. This is very helpful. I might cry.
Oh my god! Impressive amount of detailed information. By far the video with which I learned the most on RU-vid. Also most concepts can be applied to Watercolors and some even to Oil painting : ) I am sooo grateful you did this. Thank you so much Myriam! Liked and subscribed :) Keep on going!
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. It is very informative and you have very meticulously explained how to go about planning the steps involved in painting a landscape. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills so that others can benefit and share in the joy of painting in gouache . Looking forward to more such beautiful tutorials.
Had a wonderful time painting this! First time with gouache and it came out much better than I thought it would, so I am going to frame my picture. You gave wonderful directions. Thank you.
Am so glad I stumbled upon this series! This is really educating! I feel like I learned a lot just from watching this series... I will try these learnings I got from here later ..
This was an amazing gouache tutorial! Thank u for sharing this! Love your work and it was such a great video! Would you be doing more landscape tutorials? ☺️💖
this is sooo amazing Myriam !! I am definetly a new fan of yours. So good of you to explain the process and preparation even before painting and establishing the value scale. Me and many other beginner gouache artists are very lucky to have you !!
Love everything about this. Watched it several times to watch and analyze the magic. One thing I need to know. Where cam I get that ceramic palette? Michael
Thank you for the lesson! I have a question, how do you know which colors to put down on the palette? Can you make a video on color matching with the reference? I spend 3 hours trying to find the colors on a reference and it is a little bit disappointing.. Thank you very much!!
your tutorial is very detail, but also make it sounds sooo complex and hard to do, especially for a (very) beginner like me :( but still, thankyou for the hardwork on making this tutorial.
Thank you so much for this! It's informative and I think I can follow, through although my paints, brushes and paper are cheap so Im not sure if I get the same outcome
