How a trip to Japan inspired me to try Georgia O’Keefe’s techniques, with bold colors, natural shapes, abstract composition and beautiful gradients! Music: “Springtime” by Jeff Babko (available on IMovie for commercial and personal use)
Whenever I think O'Keefe, I think about the desert and whenever I think about the desert, I think about the paintings of the Taos Society, which focused on painting native people of the American Southwest in a vibrant and realistic manner.
Thank you for sharing my work! I am excited to follow the steps to make my O’Keefe style painting! Details are a challenge for me… but … I like a challenge!
Details are difficult for me too… I am more comfortable in loose painting than in tiny things (maybe because of my sausage fingers… lol). I actually realised yesterday that I don’t even own a fine line brush… but it’s good to work on the gradients with these 2 methods!
Wonderful program. I visited the area Georgia called home and her museum, a must see for anyone who wants to understand her art. I noticed the fish tank in the studio, fish have a relaxing effect on people. Thanks
Awesome! I have followed many of your videos and followed your steps with enthusiasm! The last one I made was a portrait using Gustav Klimt. I was wondering if you could do a feature on MF Hussain?
Love seeing your stuff man!! My request is George condo, late picasso, and picassos blue period! Also! Question!! Can i use your hash tag on my other paintings to just share with you and the community? Or do you only want the tag used when following a tutorial?? Thanks for the content! Much love friend!! 🙂
