Once again you have shown us some of the most beautiful country settings on earth! ...not only have you captured this scenery but you have brought it to us! I have so many wonderful memories of spending time in Sussex at several National Trust Cottages through the years and taking so many hikes thru the area and falling more in love with the area each time! ...Where we live now reminds me quite often of Sussex because of our rolling hills and landscape...the only thing missing is the sea....Anyway sorry for going on and on about it but I just love your part of the world so much and pray that I am well enough to travel back and visit again one day! The subdued , shaded distant hills, and vibrant sunlit meadows truly thrusts the foreground into vision. Very well composed, nice colour selection, in keeping with our British spring time. Oh, and I like it too. You're so right with saying this is all about reliving memories. So many time in recent years, yourself and Morgaine have been instrumental in helping my lost years come back. You already know how thankful I am for that. I mentioned recently that my eyes are fading. It's got to the stage now that it scares me because the issue is getting worse at a quickening rate. Imagine living without being allowed to take in the beauty around us. Everything from our pets and kids, to the stunning sun sets, and even all the art available to all. You may be thinking, 'he can see this well enough'. Well no I can't, it's all blurred, and the colours are becoming dimmed. I can type these comments by virtue of using magnification on this laptop. Looking for joy in other ways now. I don't want to ruin your, or anyone's day with my gloom. Happy easter. TTFN.

Very nice!!! I really enjoyed seeing the first wash and the color choices, amazing how it looked after it dried. Then the amount of loose brush strokes made the painting feel so much more complex! I really enjoyed this! Thank you Lois! As always you added a lot of joy to my Saturday 🖌️☀️🌙⭐️🌎 Also I forgot to mention great job of building up your darks…And thank you for showing and describing your subject scenes, it really makes me want to go back and visit the UK!
Very helpful and perfect timing . I painted 2 versions of sand dunes with foreground plants very similar to the one in the center. I couldn’t figure.out how to paint them.
