this was my parents' theme song. i grew up hearing this song almost every day. last 2013, my father died and since then i couldn't listen to this song without feeling sad. i thought i could finally listen to this today and smile, but the tears are still there. on a lighter note, this is still one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard.
My uncle sang this song before he died, which I consider my real father because even though I haven't seen my Dad since I was born he is the one who made me feel the love of a real father.I love him so much😔😔 and I missed him😭

Fun fact, this song was translated from English to Danish and became a contestant in the 1996 Danish Eurovision song contest (titled "Kun med dig"). It did not make it to the finale in Oslo, but MLTR decided to use the original English version for their Greatest Hits album, and the rest is history.
