Great video, thanks for sharing you beekeeping operation and family with us. I had wondered what the trees in the orchard were, glad to hear almonds. Take care and keep the videos coming.
Never say never! If you want it Rodney, go after it💪 We never thought we'd be embraced by all of you like this and with some positive feedback we are motivated to sharing our journey. I enjoy your videos by the way🤜🤛 How many hives do you want or see yourself getting to?
Yes this works very well, I will leave mine overnight in a pail of water and I leave the suction end in the paint also, just seal the top of the paint can as best you can with a plastic bag...no problems whatsoever.
1st... good job dad!! 2... you have some great help there enjoy their youth they will be grown before you can blink. 3...find a habitat for humanity store or construction recycler you can get paint for $5-$10 gal. 4...all you need is a little water to thin the paint. Depending on the paint 5-10% water is usually good and won’t mess without your coverage. Love the vids keep it up!!
Thank you! We are enjoying this life and doing our best to make it a family affair. I will look into the paint and see if they have any discounted paints at those places. Thank You! an Thank you, I will try that next time for sure(watering it down) Appreciate the support
Jose, love your videos. you make your videos so nice and enjoyable to watch plus you are so likeable. I love how it is a family affair, and how Max just loves to jump in a help and you are so great with him. Congrats to both of you for being positive parents
Its a team effort with shooting and Kelly editing and Max doing his thing! We do our best to teach him, guide him, and encourage him through it all. Lots of love! Thank you so much for watching

I'm happy we can share this stuff with you guys. Its awesome to get good feedback and you guys sharing memories with us about your kids. We appreciate you for watching 🙏
I love watching your guys's I'm starting a small apiary this year I'm buying 10 double deeps split numb and seven nukes with over winter Queens local hopefully I'll be able to order some Queens from you guys can't wait to see more videos.
Steve! How exciting is that! Great feeling when you first start doing it. Its alot of learning but so fun! You ever have questions just drop us a comment and we'll be happy to give you our input. Thanks for watching Steve🤜🤛
Awesome choice of colors Max! I dont have near as many to paint (24ish nucs) and I chose to start spraying this year also. I'll never go back. I agree though, cleaning the sprayer is a pain.
@@TheCaliforniaBeekeeper I use the Zinsser Cover stain primer (oil based) followed by the Krylon Colormaxx Acrylic Latex (water based). Makes cleanup a pain because one is oil based and the other is water based, but that's what I'm using as of right now....
If you put the spray tip it's all gone in a bucket of water on water based paint that'll keep it clean I'm a painter that's what I use when I'm not spraying my spray gun goes in a bucket of water
Looks like you made painting a fun job! I see Max was enjoying himself. Just happy for you that the wind stayed away. What breed of queens will you be raising?
It was a good project for us all. Yes the wind was not a factor, normally it howls through here. That day was perfect 👌 We breed Italians, Carniolan and Hybrids
Yes we did. Power Vs Finesse. HVLP sprayers - commonly known as compressed air sprayers, use a compressor or turbine (similar to a vacuum cleaner) to pump air through the system and, in turn, atomise the paint or stain you want to use. ... Airless sprayers, on the other hand, deliver massive (and often dangerous) pressure levels.
Nice Channel Jose, enjoy watching!! I'm and 18 yr Beekeeper - Took a course in Instrumental insemination from Krispn Given in 2019 (Perdue instructor) - Absolutely loved it!! Can I ask where you're gett'n your Mating Nuc boxes? and how are they? Also just wondering why Red - any reason for the selection of that color (easier to spot maybe)?
We normally shutdown queen production in late summer and allow the hatchout to find a home in a couple of our queen right colonies we place near each mating yard. These nucs will not overwinter well. Its us putting in a little effort and whatever bees are left in those nucs we will shake out into hives. To catch the drift
The Graco airless. This unit was $325- In my opinion and based on reviews it's the best for what we use it for (bee equipment) I'll get the model number for you. Out in the field💪🐝
Here is the exact model I use. This unit is works excellent for all our bee equipment painting www.graco.com/us/en/contractor/product/262800-magnum-x5.html
@@TheCaliforniaBeekeeper hello if okay this was the question sorry for my english it costs me a bit, how about the work are there companies that hire people from abroad or from other countries? I would like to go to work and invest in beehives in the United States
Never buy paint. Go to a real paint store and pick up their "drawdowns" for free. When you paint wood boxes, use the sprayer to put the paint on, then backroll with a dick roller to mash it into the pukas. I do a box a minute this way.
