Wanted to thank you so much for your tutorial. There are several other watercolor tutorials that are good, But none of them have taught a novice like me to understand tonal values like yours. I really appreciate! Will be learning more from you. Very excited!

I recently discovered your channel and feel like I’ve learned so much. The sky in this painting is so interesting, and your suggestions to incorporate all the colors from the rest of the painting made such a difference. I also like your suggestion to use cad lemon yellow for the sun light on the sand, then add a little to the sky. Amazing what a difference it makes. I started doing the faces, now moved right into the sea scapes. I re-watch the same videos over and over, not wanting to miss a single thing. Thank you for these tutorials. I’ve been painting for many years, never too old to learn new tricks and make my work better.

Thank you for this tutorial - I've watched others but I love the way you go about it. Taking a break is important! I sometimes feel like I want to get it done and rush. Question: Would you just leave the pencil marks for the top of the sand dune on the left in this painting?

Thanks so much Susan, sure… I like seeing pencil lines…. So I’m always to see them throughout a picture 👍😎

Wow, I just love this...your verbal instructions and especially the pace of painting and explanations are 2nd to none, as a true beginner this is so very helpful for me. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing your other paintings...thank you again...oh, one question..what was the name and vendor of that thin, "weird" looking brush❤️❤️

Hi Margo, thanks so much for the kind words and compliments! I'm glad you found me here and I have many more videos archived as well as new videos every weekend! :0) For the"needle point brush" just look up alvarocastagnet.net, his website is where I buy mine,.. I have all of them, however I mainly use the #8 and #6 needle point brushes. Happy Painting and keep up the great work!

Thank you for the tutorial, wondering what kind of eraser you are using? I always damaged my paper by erasing.

Vivienne Wei Try using a kneadable eraser. It doesn’t damage the paper.

So cool. What size is your needlepoint brush and why does it have a “belly”?
@cpetri766
@cpetri766 3 года назад
Hi, it’s an #8, and the belly holds extra paint so we can paint longer without having to keep returning to the palette 👍😎
