Painting a DUNE Sandworm 

Today I am painting a scene from Frank Herbert's DUNE, featuring one of the sandworms of Arrakis. The sandworm is similar to those in artist John Schoenherr's famous paintings from the DUNE books. I've always perferred the simpler design, which makes them appear very large in the scenes. This was painted live, during my livestream, so there are occasional comments and questions from chat. The painting from this video is now in a private collection.
