You contribute so much to us artists afraid to get a start on backgrounds! Thank you for the demos, speed paints with explanations, and brushes for free!
Love how this came out and how organic it looks! I'd love seeing a demo like this but with adding a character into it and making them look them look like they fit in that space you just created without looking weird ha ha
1:33 Grass 12:00 Dirt 16:30 Shadows 22:00 Biodiversity 29:39 Different Contrast I think that’s it? If there’s any other time stamps let me know about! Thank you for the free brushes by the way, you’re doing amazing work for all digital artists by sharing! I’m so excited to work on my background skills thanks to you.
Thank you for making this free! I'm just learning how to draw so this is really helpful. I also really appreciate that you made a demo video. You're really talented, keep up the great work!
I have watched many, many, other tutorials and guides with millions of views, and good god, none of them actually gave me the information I was looking for. Thank you! This was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I didn't need the whole color and contrast theories and all the fancy techniques...I just wanted to know the basic idea on how to draw the background, and this was wonderful!
I'm learning to live again and following my dream of becoming a Landscape Architect. This is a truly gigantic task that will need all my drive to achieve. God will bless you for offering these brushes for free. When I'll be loaded I will reward you!
first time user of photoshop, I've never drawn before (seriously) in my life. For school I decided to buy a Wacom tablet and now here I am testing out photoshop. As a writer, my creative vision is there but none of the skills to follow through with drawing it. Your brushes and understanding of foliage have really helped and it makes it so easy to draw! Thank you so much!
Wow! I always found grass to be overwhelming because I never knew where to start, but you do such an amazing job of breaking it down into easy tangible steps! Being a super talented artist is one thing, but being able to clearly teach your knowledge to others is a skill in itself too! Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial and also the free brushes!! You're a true hero ☺️🧡
You have no idea how much i been waiting to found a video like this , most PS tutorials in YT put the entire video about how to do X thing , but put the brushes in a paywall , not only the tutorial is really good but also the brushes , thank you very much ❤
i just came across this video, and i would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making background painting actually enjoyable. I've struggled with this my whole life and its like suddenly everything makes sense. You're awesome!
I've tried a whole bunch of different brushes and I've paid for different kinds of brush packs and I have to say that these brushes are actually really useful. It's crazy to think that these are free. 10/10 thank you
Regardless if I get this running in krita or not, you've been a huge help. Thank you very much for the brushes and tutorial, your hard work is very appreciated!
This video is exactly what I was looking for, you went at a nice pace that was easy to follow. This is the only video that I’ve found that really explains how the process of backgrounds are made. I would love to see more made. Thank you for the brushes , it makes all the difference in the world for a newbie like myself , that doesn’t know what brushes to use.😀
this is an amazing asset for my backgrounds. I struggle with backgrounds a lot, and this brush set is making me rethink how trees and grass should look. Thank you 👍
I downloaded your brushes the other day onto procreate and i LOVE THEM! they save so much hass of drawing grass and trees, and they look amazing! Im so happy they were free! Thank you so much for that. This tutorial also really helped!
Hey there, you might not ever see this, and thats ok, but as an almost 40 year old dad who is JUST now trying to learn digital painting.... your video is literally a light in the dark void of "learning" to paint. Thank you
Okay first of all the Foliage procreate brushes that you created are AMAZING! They work exactly how I needed them. A few months ago I bought a Tree and Foliage Procreate brush set on Etsy but really struggled with them mostly because I didn’t know how to properly use them. I’m pretty new at art and this video helped me understand why my paintings always seems so flat. Your brush set is so much easier to use and more dynamic so I can get a cohesive look. Thank you so much for making this video!
Your brushes are so good! Honestly the best looking and functioning brushes I've come across so far. Thank you for the generosity. I appreciate people like you so much!
Thank you so much!!! Would love to see a tutorial about forests. I'm really bad with the trunk and branches, they always look unrealistic or too big. I've started paiting digitally just 3 months ago and this set of brushes really made me want to focus on background paiting :)
What bro, this is so cool. You explained well for all levels of artistic skills, you give us sick brushes, (FOR FREE) you inspire us, AND this looks so cool! I've been drawing/painting for 6+ years and am just now coming around to painting fields/nature a little better. This has really helped me.
One of my biggest mistakes is that I always have this weird voice in my head telling me that I have to draw every thing on its own e.g draw the blades of grass, draw the patches of dirt. But this video has shown me that I really don’t NEED to do that! It’s why I love your channel and your demos, they help me break the unnecessary barriers I’ve created in my head about what “drawing” actually is. I guess sometimes I get caught up and forget that using perspective grids or using brushes are actually helpful tools and not something to shy away from. Thank you so much for these videos honestly!!
I would love to paint backgrounds, but one thing I struggle with are grass fields. The in-depth explanation and the small color diagram you showed at the beginning of the video broke an intimidating concept down very nicely. Your video helped immensely with my own paintings too- thank you!! 💗💗
I've seen your art so much online and was always so amazed!! I never knew who the artist until now. Now I have a favorite artist, your work inspires me so much!! Keep up the great work, thank you for everything!
this video was so unbelievably helpful. you hit all very useful thought processes and techniques in a nicely condensed video, breaking something complicated down into something less intimidating. your brushes are amazing, bought them immediately (I slapped a small donation for you there) and I'm super excited to use them for my project! as far as other video tutorials, perhaps could we see how to layer these grass textures when something is sitting in the grass? be it a rock, a person or an animal? I always have trouble trying to figure out the best method to approach this, specifically with the layering over and around the object, idk why lol. again thank you so much for you contribution to the learning art community!
Thank you so much, Both of your background videos were great but im happy you went into a little more detail with this one. it helped my studies a lot!
Thank you so much for sharing this! I've always struggled with how to implement grass/nature brushes and tutorials this good are hard to come by, great job!
Thank you so much for this. I've been trying to pursue art and have been feeling so hopeless lately. My skills barely resemble a beginner's. I was on the verge of giving up, but this video popped up on my feed. It gives me a bit of hope. Thank you for doing what you do.
Oh my God thank you so much for these amazing brushes. They are absolutely amazing. I can’t express how much I love them as well as your art. I am a recent subscriber but I will definitely be supporting you everywhere from now on! Once again thank you 🙏 ☺️
I've been creating my own foliage brushes, but I have to say, painting with yours was...amazing. (And a bit depressing, because mine aren't quite as 'there' as yours are.) Still, I'm appreciative of this incredible tutorial, and sharing your tools with other artists.
Wooahh. That's amazzziiinnggg.. you're so kind that you just give that away.. thank you so muchh.. I'm a beginner and didn't know how to create by my own self
This is just amazing. I'm beyond grateful for your brush preset and just putting your videos out here for all of us to learn how to use them. Thank you so much. I love studio ghibli landscape and was trying my hand at it and this is the perfect reference. It would be great to learn from you how to render water and lakes too. thank you somuch
thank you so very much for the lovely tutorial and for the brushes though they are worth very high i downloaded for free, you don't know how much you helped me. you are an angel. in future if i am able to fix my financial state i will pay you back. 🙏
i just really want to thank you so much ;w; with this video you make me learn so much and save my illustration ! even after 3 years you tips are incredible thx
Hi, I just wanna say thank you for the awesome tutorial (and excellent brushes) I was struggling with a background for a few days, and your video helped me so much.
I can’t thank you enough for the brushes, they’re so good and have helped me so much especially since I never even knew where to even start in drawing backgrounds and now I finally can!! Again I appreciate you so much!!
Not me randomly clicking on this video and realizing you are the guest artist for next week with Ross Draws bootcamp >.< I'm in the presence of greatness 🙌
Thank you very much, your tutorial is very good and so realistic for a beginner like me it is a real treasure of time saving. Looking forward to see more of your tutorials.
subbed. did a follow along and played around with the brushes. this was really nice to follow along and learn a few tips about colour and light and value and shadow.
I don't know if this has already been said but i find if you convert the brush to a mixer brush you can blend the colours in the top half to create a softer texture.
If i was in a better position financially i'd love to pay for some of these brushes, but I can not thankyou enough for the free aspect of it! I feel like I learnt SO much in such a short period of time, and went from having an insanely basic background to something which actually resembles grass, imagine that! Thankyou for the video and the brushes, truly
I love your tutorial, it helped me understand how I should create surroundings in my drawings. Also your brushes are amazing. You saved me with that video, thanks a lot.
