I've been reading this book called do nothing and it definitely made me reevaluate my thoughts about productivity as well. It’s not only toxic, it’s literally bad for our mental and physical health. We can’t always be productive, that’s human nature. Being productive 24/7 is impossible to achieve, and stretching ourselves to our maximum capacity is detrimental to all of us.

Awww Vicki, hang in there love. You are definitely not alone.... I was just talking about this to a dear friend of mine. The way society defines success and productivity creates this internal turmoil. Hustle culture makes us perceive that if we aren't running at full speed 24/7, then we are not productive. Productivity should not be defined by this. You completing what you are capable of doing is productive. If all you can do is rest and take care of yourself, then that is productive towards your well-being. Please do not be hard on yourself, and do what is right for yourself! I really appreciate you talking about feeling bad about not always working. I would talk down on myself so much when I wasn’t doing things. All summer I was looking for a job and I couldn’t find one. I felt worthless and I felt like I didn’t deserve to rest because I didn’t do enough every day. I hate feeling that way. You and your art are beautiful and I hope you are going easy on yourself! It can be hard but just know we love and appreciate you 🥺❤️

This was such a relaxing video, thank you for sharing! Productivity is such a weird thing to tackle in our hustle culture, and it's so hard to take breaks without thinking it as like, 'wasted time' haha, definitely something I need to work on!! Take care :) :)

Your video hit my heart totally at the right moment. How we value productivity and the standard we hold ourselves to can be so hard, especially when creating something. Sometimes getting one task done throughout the day is a mighty feat, but still, something to be proud of. Rest easy when you need to. I'm feeling this throughout this season as well, but less lonely knowing I'm not going through these waves alone. Sending you tons of love and thank you always for sharing and being so honest!

Just a suggestion though, if you're feeling sad or out of energy, you should take a break for 2 or 3 days. Get yourself a quality time where you can have fun and not thinking about anything. Although it seems unproductive, it's very useful for your mental health. Sorry if my english is bad. I really love your videos by the way :D

This may be a really stupid question, but I realized that you have an orange and white cat (who is unbelievably cute) and an orange and white room. Is your favorite color combination orange and white, therefore you got a cat that color and painted your room that color? Or, did you get a cat that color, then fell in love with him or her, and decided you wanted your room that color too? Maybe it's none of that, but I still really think it's cute.
