For Edward, it seems like there was a mix of descriptions because his eyes definitely weren't blue-green as a vampire. I recall them being described as liquid gold but they turn black when he hasn't fed in a while. Maybe the blue-green was when he was human? In which case it makes sense. So, when he got to Edward, I saw his sketch and I immediately thought of Cedric Diggory from Harry Potter. They are the same actor so I guess I got some points for that, but I realized how similar the descriptions of Edward and Cedric are. Cedric is 17 years old and has brown hair. It said that Edward was described as soft I think, and Cedric is also kinda soft. Idk, I just realized that both of those roles are played by the same actor and they have some physical similarities.

Tall, long hair, bold features. So when the monster turned out horrific, it was in part the corrupted beauty (not just straight up hideousness) that made him particularly terrifying. part of it is that you drew pre-vamp edward, bc vamp edward IS pale and causes the uncanny-valley effect in humans bc of their general "otherness," "humans can tell that they're not" or whatever, and, particularly, vamps have either red eyes (human-eaters), black eyes (hungry), or gold/amber eyes (animal-eaters), human ed had the blue green, but that is from edward's (or Carlisle's??) own admission, bella never actually saw him and described him herself
@artisticish
@artisticish Год назад
And also it says modern setting which means whoever made the description messed up cuz if it was his human form it would be long ago. And the eyes were green not blue green. And he was lanky compared to his brothers but when Bella saw him alone she realized he wasn’t lanky. Whoever wrote the description got it off

Wow! I really like your art style! As someone who's always drawn outside in, so to say, I love watching artists who start with the base colouring and work their way out. It's a really interesting technique... I'd love to try it! I think you're very talented!! But, whoever gave you the description for Edward missed the mark. They seem to be taking descriptions from when Edward was human and as a vampire. In the books Bella describes Edward (and the rest of the Cullens) as having pale white skin and golden eyes - with her descriptions for Edward's eyes adding more detail like liquid amber, and warm butterscotch. His eyes are green as a human, and he'd have a warmer skin tone too. As a vampire they are described as being "almost unnaturally white".... maybe your team thought those descriptors would make it too easy for you to guess who it was?. Still, it did a disservice to you and your version of Edward (Edward would never wear a letterman jacket)..... perhaps you could revisit Edward and do a second version that's more true to his vampire nature?

Can you do a video with book characters adding details about their personality? For example, Umbridge is described as "irritating" in the book, and Edward is "distant". You could do it by using descriptions of their tones: Edward does not actually smile but "chuckle" (that word literally comes up 25 times per page). It would be so fun to see how the personality affects the appearance :)

It was human version - with green eyes, that was depicted. Not his vampire self. But, it kept me and him guessing until the last minute because we both kept saying no, then scratching that guess only to go right back to it. But, through out, I kept Edward in the back of my head - but at the human version. The vampire version is repeated referenced, but the human version is rarely referenced, even in the books. So, I like that the human version was the one that was mentioned in the challenge. Something just little different, but still popular!

@@KhaozVoid Honestly, Vampmeyers don't sparkle, either. That is just how Bella described then, but she got it wrong. Or rather, Stephenie Meyer didn't specify correctly. However, she fixed it in Midnight Sun. The facets of their skin refract light, like a prism. With many colors bouncing off them, they actually looks like they are on fire. Refract, not sparkle, LOL!

Ahh, he looks like how he could've been had Victor spent one millisecond welcoming The Creature into the world rather than running out of the house to hide in the courtyard until morning... But then we wouldn't get the court case, framing for murder, and the chase through the Arctic, so....sacrifices, sacrifices. Great video!

Also, I thought of Edward Cullen, Percy Jackson or maybe Jason grace for the Edward one, I don’t know why I guess it’s just my own fan girl instincts. You should definitely do some Percy Jackson characters. I mean, the adaptations (movies) were the least accurate you can be, and the show is not focusing on appearance being accurate, whereas the plot and the essence and personality of characters. Even if there’s pretty accurate fan art, it would be really cool to see your way of doing some characters, since some changes are made in fan art. I definitely want to see that
