Okay so this is how you actually do it step 1: get colours step 2: smere pain on the canvas step 3: grab mr. fluffy brush step 4: smack his head on the color white and only white step 5: constantly smack his white head on the canvas step 6: ok
@@ysa154 wow same goes to mee , i wanna do this for my art exam but after reading this comment , i think its better for me to think about my plan first HAHHAAHHA
Bro I suck at making the clouds so I had to look up how to make them because imma make a tik tok painting my light switch cover. It's gonna be a pink->red->purple sunset with clouds :)
To define this video. Making a blue sky helps when you paint with white. And if the white is slowly running out. Don’t add more because we want it to run out to give it a shade
Lovely Lilypads paint the clouds when the blue is parshly wet. Not too wet that it mixes into a light blue but not to dry that you don’t get the shades you need
sweet starsx take a picture of your painting and look at it through that. I don't know why but it makes them look better. Trust me you will see it with a new set of eyes.
@@aleksandrat.5058 suggestion make a wet on wet concoction for the sky and do it how oil pAinters do … bob Ross style Don’t over fluff and leave it alone once it looks nice Always keep corners dark and work lighter For s regular blue sky High light using a dry brush fat round brush or corner of fan brush works nice Hope this helps
That’s because your under layer would be dry. This technique is done with the first layer remaining wet but unfortunately as we know acrylic dries a lot faster in a lot of circumstances. This technique works well with oil paint. Im wondering if this artist used a drying retarder mixed into their paint for the layers. Or if you use open acrylics this would work also. Another thing to remember is not to press with your brush really hard. It’s a feather touch for blending
Try watercolor painting before acrylic. Two totally different things but helps you get into art more when you feel like you can correct mistakes with relative ease
this comment is very late but- do you let the background dry before painting on the clouds? i'm new to painting and i'm trying to find another hobby other then sketching--
angelina I guess it depends on the type of the colors.. if you’ll paint with watercolors then yes you need to.. but if it’s acrylic then (for me no need) + ik that I’m late too xd
I could watch you paint for hours! Your one of my favorite artists. Love your sky and clouds, it is one that you could lay in the grass and just stare at the sky and daydream.
I have watched more of your videos than any other artist, you make it seems so easy, but I am still learning. Thank you for taking the time to teach, it means so much to me.
Thank you for this charming and helpful tutorial. To me, the amazing this is how good your clouds looked before AND after you added the last layer (10:53). They just looked like different kinds of clouds-equally beautiful!
Thank you for doing this video, this helped me a lot. I mean, I didn't have the right brush but I believe my attempt still holds a level of accuracy. I just think I need to stop being afraid of making the clouds look fluffy and apply a kind of thick layer of white to achieve the reflective look of light bouncing off of them. I know that because of the brush, I do see quite a bit of streaks, but it's alright. Other than that, I only made one attempt and as a practice run, I think it looks relatively good!
Great! But this video was missing something else, just a touch of atmospheric light in the midtones. Try adding a bit of soft purple, pink or gold. You will be amazed!
Thank you so much for this video. Being new at painting, I had no idea how difficult clouds would be to paint. I have a filbert brush and am going to give this a try.
thank you very much for sharing your tutorials are greatly appreciated please tell me was the underpainting dry before you started on the clouds? Cheers Ian
The underpainting can be dry when you put on your clouds, it looks like that was the case here...if the underpainting is wet the white will blend with the blue and you may not get a really nice white cloud. hope that helps..
I’ve literally been trying with the wrong brush this whole time! I know buying the right brush won’t magically make me paint perfect clouds, but it will help😂
seems he added Floetrol to keep the color longer wet and being able to blend it. Floetrol gives you a little bit more playtime for around twenty minutes.
ME : *desperately making art ME also after long time OF work: I officially learned How to make crap in another way!... Not the youtubers fault but deeply mine
