Painting Diecast Cars - Dodge Power Wagon - Greenlight Chase. This beautiful Power Wagon from GreenLight needs some work. Even though it's considered a green machine I still think it looks like a 1:64 scale Christmas tree ornament and I'm going to redo it.

Hey that firebird on that chassis was a pretty cool idea. Way back in 1977 when I was in the Marine Corps going to mechanics school in Camp Lejeune, NC there was a used car lot, one of many, outside the base that had a 1969 Camaro Z/28 on a Chevy Blazer frame for sale. It looked cool, but to me was a waste of a perfectly good Z/28. Oh they also had a replica of the General Lee sitting there for sale too!

That was a great paint scheme and love the build but one detail. The engine would be behind the radiator and wouldn't be seen through the Grille- brush guard. Still and awesome make over. 😉👍

What Greenlight did was to make a Texeco power wagon from the same casting as the one they did for the TV show "Gears with Stacey David", on the TV show he built a 1941 Dodge power wagon that he named Sgt. Rock and that front bumper is what he built onto his project truck, look up photos of the Sgt Rock power Wagon

I know it’s been done a million times on a lot of the channels, but seeing that firebird with that lift made me think of a post apocalyptic style build. Love your stuff and watching for a while now. Keep up the great work.

I live in Pennsylvania and there are a couple of Texaco stations in Pittsburgh where I live......This casting your customizing sells for $50.00 on EBay.....this is a green machine special edition

Sharp color. Both Toyota and Subaru have a variant of that grey/blue - I was thinking it would look good on an old VW beetle. If you've got an enamel late model VW redline I think it would look awesome in a shade like this.

The original casting was Sgt Rock, from the car show, David Stacey's Gears. The original vehicle was taken from an old airport that Mr Stacey had seen and as a teenager and when he was on a truck show, he went and got the vehicle, and so far had had 3/4 different guises. And has sand from Omaha Beach Normandie France.

If you haven't already tried CitriStrip paint remover...it works well...less harsh fumes, but does seem to take longer than more caustic stuff.
