This is part two of a simple non-elitist step-by-step video guide to painting figures' faces, aimed at beginners - this time we continue with the iconic movie star, Sir Sean Connery, who sadly passed away at the end of October 2020.
This series will be showing how to paint a 1/10th bust for those looking to use acrylics. In this part, we explore painting the eyes, flesh or skin tones and hair. We decided to cover the uniform in a future video.
Each step is shown, starting with the eyes, as well as all the phases in painting the face.
This tutorial from www.scalewarmac... is aimed at AFV model makers looking to paint realistic faces for their figures. It is not a masterclass, rather a simple technique for effective results. It should be accessible and simple to follow. If you want to watch a long-winded masterclass, check out one of the expert figure painter channels on You Tube instead.

The resin bust is in 1/10th scale and is from Young Miniatures reference YM1870, it is called Red Devils Arnhem 17t Sept. 1944.

Beautiful work! Have you thought of starting with an under coat colour before painting? Also what about gloss clear for the final on the eyes. If you could list the brush sizes would be very helpful. Thanks!

Have you do the video for the jump smock yet ,i know your very busy and i had asked a while ago in the passed if it was possible to do one as i have this kit .just would like to see the way you would paint the british jump smock ??? ,this is an awsome kit you have done an awsome job with this one .

Thanks for keeping up the pressure on this, funnily enough your actions in the past and now have spurred me on, only yesterday I was reorganising my future editing projects and "to do" list for 2022-2023 and this is definitely on it, so I was kind of thinking of you and others who have asked for it. It is a shame not to finish the series. Now, it may take a while to get to air, but it is definitely planned. The summer is the only chance I get to catch up and there is a lot of behind the scenes admin' and organising that I need to catch up on. But it will come, eventually, especially if I use this time to get organised and set up a slate of properly pre-prepared projects to edit this coming year. Followers of the channel will know I have nearly 500 hours of video in my collection and many, many, projects dating back 10 plus years awaiting their publication. One day if I ever do this more than as a hobby, they will get their moment in the sun. Unfortunately, work has really eaten up a lot of my free time since the pandemic and the summer is also a chance for a proper holiday, so I need some time out from the day job too. It should be coming though, fear not! Please feel free to remind me and thanks for your other comments, praise and encouragement.

@@scalewarmachines hi scale war machines ,thank you for your quick response I look forward in seeing this video on Sean Connery kit the bridge to far as I was brought up with these films when I was younger, I have just like yourself work getting in of a hobby and I also do fantasy figures and busts my heart goes out to all of those people who paint these type of kits all great stuff.im trying to get a paint studio up and running in my new house I have just bought it's hard but I'll get there ,my thanks Graeme
