Arrrgh - it is always a pain in the ass, to clean these boxes, to paint these boxes and it is such a joy to see the end already. So many years I painted commissioned artworks like that and especially the electricity boxes, with all the sanding and the fibre glass that sticked in my skin even days later, were definitely not my favourite jobs... I am happy to say, that because of your support, your comments and likes, your interest in my work i am finally able to say: These jobs are over now. I will not paint commissioned boxes anymore... I still have some on my list, but I already teach a young artist from my area and will give the commissions to him... Hehe... so happy...

my home town has commissioned someone over the last years to paint a lot of the electricity boxes with small symbols or sights of the town(a tower or a well known pond outside the town, a historical building that was torn down years ago etc). helps bringing them (back) into our minds and the town centre, i really like it!

There are knee pads with gel cushions built in them that a lot of people that do construction/ flooring swear by them. Seriously save your knees or bring a stool or plastic milk crate to sit on. Ever think about hiring on a freelance basis other artist in your area when you have to many commissions to handle/ too boring/ not interested to work on? Or an apprentice that could do the prep work pay them by showing and painting explaining spray can/ brush techniques.

I know you said you don't enjoy it but really I think it's such a noble job to be doing these commissions for people in your community. Your beautiful art being painted all over your city must really brighten it up and bring smiles to other people. I really appreciate public art like what you do in your commissions. thx a lot - the boxes brought me to where i am today and I will always keep them in good memories, but working on knees and working against time because of fixed prices for those boxes from electricity company and the fibre glass sticking in my skin everywhere from sanding these boxes.... all this made it hard to put a lot of love into the boxes... i gave my best, but i a, done with them 😂😂 next episode of my artistic life has began.

Jo smoe! Freut mich dass du die Entscheidung getroffen hast dich auf RU-vid zu konzentrieren! So erfolgreich wie du in der kurzen Zeit geworden bist kann man auch erwarten dass du finanziell auch nicht unter der Entscheidung leiden solltest! Male selber ab und zu Aufträge, zwar nicht ansatzweise mit der Qualität von dir aber ich kann voll verstehen wieso man das nicht den Rest seines Lebens machen möchte. Ich finde das macht die Kunst für einen ein wenig kaputt da man nur das Geld im Hinterkopf hat und wegen der Abhängigkeit eben oft Sachen malen muss die man nicht genießt. Deine community wird den neuen content bestimmt noch mehr pushen wenn du anfängst das zu machen worauf du selber Lust hast!

ja, das denke ich auch - ich will halt auch schon ewig und 10 Tage tutorials machen und tiefer in die Materie gehen... Ich denke das kann gans (höhö) lustig werden... Aber ohne reiche Gönner im Nacken muss ich halt alles selbst vorfinanzieren - wenn ich mir die Videos nicht leisten kann, muss ich wieder aufhören, aber ich denke, das soll schon werden, wir werden zumindest in der nächsten Zeit hier auf RU-vid mehr Sachen ausprobieren...

I first saw your playground video. I loved it. Love this one too. Maybe it’s only me but commissions feel like more than art to me. It’s a plus not a minus. You create a lots of happiness for a lot of ppl by doing these. I can understand however that it’s not your dream.

Also you should think about continuing your electric boxes and just charge A LOT more to make it more worthwhile. If you charge more, you may have less people ask but the times you do paint them, it will be so much more lucrative.
