one of my biggest pet peeves is when people dont apply enough sol to their decals to make them sit down into the rivets, and then when they weather the entire plane but leave the decals new and shiny. You did this perfectly. in awe
I have one in the wings. You got me thinking about crew. Nice job. I want mine flying also. I plan to use the giant clear stand that came with my Flying Sub. It is a huge version of a classic stand.
Awesome work, I have watched your B-17 and Mustang videos..question for you, what are you using to seal your paint jobs..Am wondering if your using Lacquer, acrylic/ future? Especially on the natural metal finishes. Also I am digging your base designs as they really add an awesome effect for displaying your work. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks! My clear coats vary...typically I’ve been using “Future” for my gloss coats...I think I used Alclad Aqua gloss for the mustang. I did recently use Tamiya X22 clear gloss on my BF109 mixed with mr color leveling thinner which is a lacquer thinner. I’ve found that I have more control and can get the smoothest finish with that. For my matte coats I either use Tamiya flat clear or Windsor and Newton acrylic matte clear. For nmf...it all kinda depends on what you’ll be ok with as I think all of them dull the nmf to some degree or another, however, I’ve had the best luck with aqua gloss over nmf.
Primedmodelworks awesome, thanks for the info. I use future as well as tamiya. For my dull coats I just use the tamiya spray can. I usually do armor, but I have gotten back into aircraft and have started watching different channels on RU-vid. I Love these bombers and especially your work since it’s legit, I really want to do these big aircraft but they cost some serious 💵
